Proposal of a domain model for 3D representation of buildings for the 3D cadastre in Ecuador

<p><span>The accelerated urban sprawl of cities around the world presents major challenges for urban planning and land resource management. In this context, it is crucial to have a detailed 3D representation of buildings enriched with accurate alphanumeric information. A distinctive aspect of this proposal is its specific focus on the spatial unit corresponding to buildings. In order to propose a domain model for the 3D representation of buildings, the national standard of Ecuador and the international standard (ISO 19152) were considered. The proposal includes a detailed specification of attributes, both for the general subclass of buildings and for their infrastructure. The application of the domain model proposal was crucial in a study area located in the Riobamba canton, due to the characteristics of the buildings in that area. For this purpose, a geodatabase was created in pgAdmin4 with official information, taking into account the structure of the proposed model and linking it with geospatial data for an adequate management and 3D representation of the buildings in an open-source Geographic Information System. This application improves cadastral management in the study region and has wider implications. This model is intended to serve as a benchmark for other countries facing similar challenges in cadastral management and 3D representation of buildings, promote efficient urban development and contribute to global sustainable development.</span></p>

Processed cadastre map for Aarhus municipality 2018

<p>Cadastre map for Aarhus municipality</p> <p>The whole of Denmark is divided into cadastres, which represent legally binding property boundaries. The 2018 cadastre map comprises a total of 81,437 cadastre units within Aarhus municipality. The cadastre map contains some general land use information, such as whether a cadastre unit is part of the road or rail network and if it is primarily used for agricultural production.</p> <p>Furthermore, each cadastre unit contains a unique identification string, which can be linked to building specific information from the Danish Building and Dwelling (BBR) register and to ownership information from the Central Business (CVR) register.</p> <p>Based on this information, for the 2018 cadastre, we compiled information on ownership categories, building specific information (e.g. use, such as residential, business etc.) and whether a cadastre unit is publicly accessible. LBA-ECO LC-24 Cadastral Property Map of Uruara, Para, Brazil: ca.1975

This data set contains a shapefile of a digitized map of the land parcel information of the original properties of the Uruara colonization site, Para, Brazil, acquired from the Instituto de Colonizacao e Reforma Agraria, or the Colonization and Agrarian Reform Institute (INCRA). The Uruara settlement geometry was initially designed by INCRA, and consists of mostly 100 hectare lots (400 x 2500 meters, and 500 x 2000 meters), running north and south of the Trans-Amazon Highway, as a fine network of small, narrow rectangles. The other parcels in the landscape are the so-called glebas that range up to 3,000 hectares. The map was in the form of a paper map without a projection (a spherical geographic coordinate system) in the South American 1969 datum (SAD 1969). This paper map was digitized in Environmental Science Research Institute (ESRI) ArcInfo 8.1 using a digitizing table, and the digital cadastral data were geo-referenced and projected to match the Universal Transverse Mercator projection (Zone 22 South, World Geodetic System 1984 datum) of Landsat imagery (Landsat.org). There is one compressed (*.zip) file with this data set.

Georeferenced and vectorized 1834 cadastre (with attribute data), Charleville

<p>The creation of a geographic information system (GIS) linked to socio-demographic databases is the most obvious extension of the &quot;mpf&quot; project to centralize, analyze and combine the many and rich cartographic archives linked to Charleville.<br> A first conclusive attempt to digitize this cadastre was carried out in 2015. It was carried out for the Saint-S&eacute;pulcre district based on a matrix and a cadastral map from 1834. Based on this positive experience feedback, it was decided to begin the full digitization and georeferencing of this cadastral plan in order to have a quality spatial repository that can be associated with socio-demographic data.<br> The use of the metric system and non-projected local coordinates suggested that absolute and relative Euclidean accuracies would be optimal. First, a geometric registration (planimetric coordinates) of the high definition digitized plane (raster format, 600 dots per inch) was started. This operation was built on the identification of common points between the contemporary urban fabric and the geometries present in the archive (street angles, intersection of buildings, etc.). The results obtained, from the geometrical method used called &ldquo;Helmert transformation&rdquo;, appeared satisfactory with a root mean square error (MSE) of 0.8 m from 116 common calibration points.<br> Once this georeferencing was carried out, the exhaustive digitization of the 1834 cadastre and its carto-interpretation made it possible to obtain a set of data composed of two sets of geographic information in open format (geojson) combining socio-demographic data and geometries.<br> Data set composed of three main files:<br> 1. &quot;cadastre-1834-sheet-c1.geojson&quot;, geojson format.
