Custom Dataset Collected for Energy Manager

<ul> <li>Change directory to inside the dataset</li> <li>Create virtual python environment and install the contents in requirements.txt</li> <li>Run the commands in sample_commands.txt file to get an idea on how the sample_pvm_to_csv.py script works</li> </ul> <p><strong>Data description:</strong><br> Light sensor (APDS9960) - Solar irradiance; Power sensor (INA226) - solar panel open circuit voltage (OCV), solar panel closed circuit current (CCC), solar panel closed circuit shunt voltage (CCSV); DHT22 - temperature and&nbsp;humidity data are collected using a custom setup (check the custom_setup.pdf file), placed indoors, next to a curtain less glass window (the plane of the sensing surfaces were almost 45 degree to the window glass. The spectral distortions made by the glass on the solar irradiance observed is unknown - sorry! The sensors used are INA226, Solar panel (1.5W, 137x81x2.5 mm, 16% efficiency, V &amp; I at peak power :5.5V &amp; 270ma), APDS9960 and&nbsp;DHT22.</p> <p>The custom setup transmits collected data to the server. The server creates a new log file everyday with &#39;.txt&#39; file extension. When the server restarts and begins logging, the first file created has the time information of when the log file was created, suffixed with number &#39;0&#39; before the file extension. This suffix is incremented day by day, until the next interruption to the server, where it create a new log file with the current time and suffix &#39;0&#39;, and the whole cycle continues. The log files provided here are raw and unfiltered.<br> &nbsp;<br> A header with &#39;UTC&#39; time was transmitted by the custom setup to the server whenever it restarts. It contains column information. The sampling period is 0.2s and only the time stamp for the first data is found in the header. The timestamp for the rest is calculated using the index / serial number and the sample period. The index and the data from each sensor are separated by &#39;#&#39;. If a sensor provides multiple data, then those data are separated by &#39;,&#39;.</p>

Model Collection of the Business Process Management Academic Initiative

<p>This model collection contains 29,810 models. The collection originates from the BPM Academic Initiative (BPMAI). In 2012, the initial members of this initiative were the following institutions represented by the corresponding professors: Mathias Weske (HPI,&nbsp; University of Potsdam), Marlon Dumas (University of Tartu), Marcello La Rosa (University of Melbourne), Jan Mendling (WU Vienna), Hajo A. Reijers (Utrecht University), Michael Rosemann (Queensland University of Technology, Australia), Jan Recker (University of Cologne, Germany), Wil van der Aalst (RWTH Aachen, Germany), Michael zur M&uuml;hlen (Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ) and Frank Leymann (University of Stuttgart), respectively, complemented by Dr. Gero Decker (Signavio GmbH, Berlin). The vendor Signavio provides a <a href="http://www.signavio.com/en/academic.html">free workspace</a> to the members of the BPM Academic Initiative and the models being created are made available for reseach purposes on the Creative Commons licence.</p> <p>The BPM Academic Initiative collection comprises tens of thousands of models, of various process modeling languages, and size. Models of the collection are available in several revisions, which opens a new perspective in researching the way people model.<br> The BPMAI collection is shared in a JSON format. Tools have been developed at HPI, University of Potsdam for efficiently processing these files. See the <a href="https://github.com/tobiashoppe/promnicat">PromniCat project</a>. Note that this project is no longer further developed, so you have to work with the information available there. Various analysis techniques can be applied for these models using the <a href="https://code.google.com/archive/p/jbpt/">jBPT library</a> or <a href="https://code.google.com/archive/p/apromore/">Apromore</a>.</p>

Data Management Training Clearinghouse Metadata and Collection Statistics Report

<p>This collection contains a snapshot of the learning resource metadata from ESIP&#39;s <a href="https://dmtclearinghouse.esipfed.org">Data management Training Clearinghouse</a> (DMTC) associated with the closeout (March 30, 2023) of the Institute of Museum and Library Services funded (Award Number: <a href="https://imls.gov/grants/awarded/lg-70-18-0092-18">LG-70-18-0092-18</a>) <em>Development of an Enhanced and Expanded Data Management Training Clearinghouse project.</em> The shared metadata are a snapshot associated with the final reporting date for the project, and the associated data report is also based upon the same data snapshot on the same date.</p> <p>The materials included in the collection consist of the following:</p> <ul> <li><strong>esip-dev-02.edacnm.org.json.zip</strong> - a zip archive containing the metadata for 587 published learning resources as of March 30, 2023. These metadata include all publicly available metadata elements for the published learning resources with the exception of the metadata elements containing individual email addresses (submitter and contact) to reduce the exposure of these data.</li> <li><strong>statistics.pdf</strong> - an automatically generated report summarizing information about the collection of materials in the DMTC Clearinghouse, including both published and unpublished learning resources. This report includes the numbers of published and unpublished resources through time; the number of learning resources within subject categories and detailed subject categories, the dates items assigned to each category were first added to the Clearinghouse, and the most recent data that items were added to that category; the distribution of learning resources across target audiences; and the frequency of keywords within the learning resource collection. "I'm something of an untrained, unofficial cultural anthropologist myself. Ihave a business interviewing people to capture their personal histories. I'm always interested how people fit into their world and how they affect their world. I'm a graphic designer who works in the same building as the printing presses that I recorded. Iwalk past the presses every day on my way to talk to the folks in the prepress department. I'm on friendly but not drinking terms with the pressmen. I'm a friend with the prepress manager. Three Heidelberg presses are installed side by side in an open warehouse-like room. The presses are about twenty feet long and about five feet high. With their series of four humps or mounds where each printing cylinder is located, the presses remind one of giant, gray, mechanical caterpillars. Each press has a cyan cylinder, a magenta cylinder, a yellow cylinder and a black cylinder – so the humps are brightly colored. The presses are well lit by banks of fluorescent lights hanging from the ceiling over each press. When you walk into the press room you hear the sound of rock music blaring from a boom box radio mixed with the general din of the presses. It is only when you walk up to a press like Idid for the recordings that you really start to hear the individual strains of clicking, clacking and mechanical, syncopated chattering. When I made my recordings I was intrigued by the subtle variations in the sounds produced by these machines that aren't apparent when you first walk through the door. The pressmen were kind enough to allow me to walk right up to the presses and poke my microphone quite close to the rotating press cylinders. Iuse a Danish Pro Audio microphone about the size of a pencil eraser. An extremely sensitive mic with the capacity for capturing loud sounds such as the presses up close. Comparing and Combining Existing and Emerging Data Collection and Modeling Strategies in Support of Signal Control Optimization and Management (Project M2)

<p>For decades, traffic signal management agencies have used signal timing optimization tools combined with fine-tuning of signal timing based on field observations in their updates of time-of-day signal timing plans.&nbsp;&nbsp;These traditional signal optimization methods and tools use very limited amount of data and depend on default values in the signal timing optimization/simulation tools to estimate network performance under different signal optimization strategies. In recent years, new data collection technologies are emerging including high resolution controller data, more advanced detection technologies such as video image detection that are based on vehicle tracking and possible integration with microwave detectors, automatic-vehicle based identification technologies, third party crowdsourcing data, connected vehicles, and connected automated vehicles data.&nbsp;&nbsp;The objective of the proposed study is to propose methods and algorithms to combine data collected from existing and emerging sources with enhanced models and optimization algorithms to optimize and manage signal operations. The results from applying the developed methods and algorithms will be compared with traditional signal timing and optimization methods currently used by transportation agencies.&nbsp;</p>

Web scraping and API projects from "Online Data Collection and Management" (Spring 2022)

<p>As part of &quot;Online Data Collection and Management&quot; (taught at Tilburg University, Spring 2022), students collected publicly available datasets for use in academic research projects. With this repository, I am sharing (a) the documentation of these data sets, and (b) the associated source code that led to the collection of the data.
