Weather and Air Quality data for Ireland as RDF data cube
<p>Weather, Air Pollution and Events data represented as RDF data cube. The original weather data has been downloaded from https://www.met.ie//climate/available-data/historical-data and the Air Quality data from <a href="https://discomap.eea.europa.eu/map/fme/AirQualityExport.htm">https://discomap.eea.europa.eu/map/fme/AirQualityExport.htm</a> and <a href="https://discomap.eea.europa.eu/map/fme/AirQualityExportAirbase.htm">https://discomap.eea.europa.eu/map/fme/AirQualityExportAirbase.htm</a>. The Events data refers to random events within the Republic of Ireland.</p> <p>The data has then been uplifted by running the {eeaMapping, metMapping, eventsMapping}.py scripts, which generate R2RML mappings to convert the CSV data to RDF. The mappings re-use vocabularies and ontologies that are W3C recommendations for dataset descriptions (DCAT, https://www.w3.org/TR/vocab-dcat-2/), statistical data (RDF Data Cube, https://www.w3.org/TR/vocab-data-cube/) and provenance data (PROV-O, https://www.w3.org/TR/prov-o/). The scripts use the R2RML engine from https://github.com/chrdebru/r2rml to execute the mappings which generate a data and metadata files for each of the datasets.</p> <p> </p>

A global land-use data cube 1992-2020 based on the Human Appropriation of Net Primary Production: Dataset 2
<p>This dataset is part of the LUIcube, a global dataset on land-use at 30 arcsecond spatial resolution. The LUIcube includes information on area, the change in NPP due to land conversions (HANPPluc), the harvested NPP (including losses, HANPPharv), and the NPP remaining in ecosystems after harvest (NPPeco) for 32 land-use classes in annual time-steps from 1992 to 2020. A detailed description of the LUIcube is available in the accompanying publication.</p> <p>The layers of land-use areas are provided in square kilometers (km²) per grid cell. All NPP flows are provided in tC/yr per grid cell. Adding HANPPharv to NPPeco results in the actual NPP available before harvest (NPPact=NPPeco+HANPPharv), and adding HANPPluc to NPPact results in the potential NPP available in the hypothetical absence of land use (NPPpot=NPPact+HANPPluc) for the given land-use class. Area-intensive values (in gC/m²/yr) can be calculated by dividing the NPP flows by the area of the respective land-use class per grid cell. HANPP in % of NPPpot can be calculated by summing up HANPPharv and HANPPluc and dividing it by NPPpot. Areas and NPP flows of land-use classes can be aggregated to calculate their overall HANPP. </p> <p>This Zenodo repository provides data on following land-use classes: grazing land characterized by open wooded lands (GL-owl)</p>

<p>The animation depicts a 24h space-time cube derived from radar-metereologic data recorded by the x-band radar station of the South African Weather Service for the Liebenbergvlei in the Freestate, South Africa on December 31 2001. The temporal resolution (z) is 5 Minutes, starting on 2001-12-31 00:00:00 hours, ending on 2001-12-31 23:55:00 hours. Spatial resulution please see. The spatial resolution (xy) is 1km, covering a radius of 200km from the radar station. Tempospatial zones of weak precispitation are colored in blue, zones of severe precipitation are colored in yellow.</p> <p>Data processing was done in GRASS v6.x, visualisation was done in Paraview.</p>

China Earth Observation Data Cube: The 30m Seamless Annual Leaf-On Landsat Composites from 1985 to 2024
<p>The <strong>30m seamless annual leaf-on Landsat composites from 1985 to 2024</strong> were generated using a comprehensive framework designed to ensure high-quality, consistent data across decades. Starting with preprocessed Level-2 surface reflectance images from multiple Landsat sensors, the dataset is restricted to the Leaf-On season, with rigorous cloud and shadow masking applied based on quality assessment bands. To maintain consistency across sensors, spectral harmonization is conducted, followed by annual composite generation using the medoid method to capture peak vegetation conditions. The resulting composites are structured into a spatially consistent data cube, facilitating efficient analysis and monitoring of vegetation dynamics over time.</p> <p>The band naming convention follows Landsat TM standards, with bands designated as <strong>Blue (B1), Green (B2), Red (B3), NIR (B4), SWIR1 (B5), and SWIR2 (B7)</strong>. Both qualitative and quantitative evaluations were conducted to validate the data quality. Here, we provide 2023 image data covering southwestern forest regions of China as a sample for testing.
