Swiss public's acceptance and sustainability perceptions of food produced with chemical, digital and mechanical weed control measures and the influence of information source on technology perception in agriculture

<p><span>This data was obtained from an online survey conducted with the Swiss public from the two biggest language regions (German and French) in Switzerland. The survey was conducted in February 2023. Participants were recruited through a professional panel provider and quotas were used for age, gender and language region. The final sample contained&nbsp;</span><span>542 respondents. </span><span>In the first part of the survey, respondents provided basic sociodemographic information. In the second part, their sustainability perceptions regarding four different weed management practices (full-surface spraying, hoeing machine, spot spraying and precise spraying) were investigated. Respondents were then assigned to one of five information source groups, in which information on a hoeing and a milking robot was presented, using 5 different information sources (male/female farmer, male/female scientist, no source). Technology perception was assessed using several questions and aspects. Finally, respondents answered several questions assessing their attitudes towards the perception of farmers, food technology neophobia, chemophobia and the importance of naturalness. The survey can be used and adapted to different contents, aiming to investigate public perception of smart farming technologies and the influence of information sources on technology perception. </span></p>

Database for article: "Privacy Perceptions in Digital Games: A Study with Information Technology (IT) Undergraduates"

<p>This database is an addendum to the article "<strong>Privacy Perceptions in Digital Games: A Study with Information Technology (IT) Undergraduates</strong>" to provide information regarding the anonymously collected data.</p><p><strong>Abstract of the article</strong></p><p>This study explores the perceptions and practices of undergraduates in Information Technology (IT) regarding privacy issues in digital games. This topic becomes relevant in the current scenario where artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly integrated into digital games, providing an enhanced experience for players. However, this integration poses security and privacy challenges, the understanding of which is crucial for both players and developers.<br>The primary objective of this research is to comprehend the participants' perceptions and understandings of privacy in digital games. We employed a qualitative and quantitative methodology to address our research inquiries. Through an online form of data collection, we obtained 61 responses. Among the obtained information, we observed that 40\% &nbsp;of the students are interested in pursuing a career in game development, and 49.18% would consider this possibility. Noteworthy among the identified issues is the necessity for companies to devise more effective means of communicating their privacy policies to players/users, adapting the language to their target audience. Participants reported attacks related to online multiplayer games and expressed concerns about the security of personal data.</p>

In recent years, the topic of digitalisation and sustainability of supply chains has become increasingly important. In addition, as the environmental dynamism becomes more complex, it is essential to explore how technologies impacts on sustainability under the supply chain dynamism. Hence, there is a study to explore the relationship between technologies and sustainability under the supply chain dynamism in the energy supply chain. In this study, the author collects quantitative data from two Chinese companies, including China Resources Power Zhejiang Company and Hunan HuaDian Changsha Electric Co., Ltd. This is a questionnaire survey and it has 24 questions, including 3 general questions, 5 technologies dimension questions, 12 sustainability dimension questions and 4 supply chain dynamism questions. The author collected data from 30 May 2024 to 6 June May 2024, and there are totally 316 answers.

Digital Contact Tracing: Overview of technological solutions for the fight against pandemics

<p>In late 2019, Covid-19 emerged and was soon declared a pandemic causing until now a massive health disruption and a huge impact on the global economy. Several governments around the world are still forced to take containment measures to curb the spread of the virus including partial or full lockdowns. At the same time, they rely heavily on human resources to perform manual Contact Tracing (CT) for alerting known contacts of the confirmed cases and breaking the infection chains early enough. However, CT does not scale well when the cases increase exponentially, due to the limited capacity of national public health authorities, and cannot identify possible <em>hidden</em> infections due to random encounters with strangers in crowded spaces such as restaurants, bars, theaters, public transportation, etc. To this end, Digital Contact Tracing (DCT) is becoming increasingly popular to enhance and empower CT, enabling automatic and faster identification and notification of exposed users. This presentation will first overview the different generations of DCT solutions from the privacy-invasive use of subscriber location data provided by cellular operators, to location monitoring mobile apps on GPS-equipped smartphones, to privacy-preserving mobile apps based on <em>proximity</em> sensing through Bluetooth. It will discuss the findings of recent studies with regards to the effectiveness of DCT and debate whether it has been &ndash; or has the potential to become &ndash; a game changer. Finally, it will outline the latest developments and trends in this active research field that are of interest to the IPIN community including <em>presence</em> tracing that aims to notify anonymously those users that have been in the same place (especially indoors) with an infected user, without necessarily satisfying the proximity constraint.</p>

The videos were manual evaluated to record the time in the video where a sign appeared, and the time stamp was noted. The Python file compared the timestamps from the manual file and the GoPro telemetry to create a combined data set for each route driven that includes the type of sign and the location. This data is in the Microsoft Excel file.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Note that this data set is split into two because of the size of the videos. This is the video data from day 1 of 2 of data collection.</p>
