In-situ grazing-incidence X-ray diffraction data of the crystallization process of organic-inorganic methylammonium lead bromide perovskite (MAPbBr3) via employing an isopropanol antisolvent. Raw Data

<p>The dataset contains 400 diffraction images from a 40 second in-situ grazing-incidence wide-angle X-ray scattering measurement of the crystallization process of organic-inorganic methylammonium lead bromide perovskite (MAPbBr3) on a glass substrate. The crystallization is initiated via employing an isopropanol antisolvent during the spin-coating of the perovskite precursor solution. 40 &micro;L of MAPbBr3 solution (4:1 DMF/DMSO solvent mixture) was applied on plasma-cleaned glass substrate in a chamber with kapton windows. The two-phase spin-coating regime included 10 seconds at 1000 rpm followed by 30 seconds at 2000 rpm, 200 &micro;L of antisolvent was dispensed at t = 30 s.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The data was acquired at the P08 Beamline at PETRA III (DESY Hamburg). Advanced Resolution Canopy FLOw (ARCFLO) experiment employing the SUbcanopy Sonic Anemometer Network (SUSAN) in WS01 of the HJ Andrews Experimental Forest, July-September 2012

This dataset was collected during one of the ARCFLO (Advanced Resolution Canopy FLOw) experiment series’ field campaigns. This field campaign was carried out in WS1 of the HJ Andrews Experimental forest during July-September 2012 by the biomicrometeorology group, PI Christoph Thomas. The ARCFLO experiment series spanned a wide range of topographic conditions (flat, sloped, mountainous) and canopy architectures (grassland, orchard, open forest, dense forest) and was carried out between 2011 and 2014. It was funded through the NSF Career Award in Physical and Dynamical Meteorology to PI Christoph Thomas. The main goal of this project was to develop a novel improved framework to describe the airflow and its transport under weak-wind conditions for a continuous variation of overstory density and stratification. The objective is to i) identify forcing mechanisms of submeso motions, ii) evaluate the impact of plant canopies of different overstory density on the wind, temperature, and humidity fields, and iii) improve predictors for mixing in plant canopies that incorporate the important physical mechanisms. Observations were be made with a unique combination of new and standard techniques including optical fiber measurement of temperature structure, acoustic remote sensing, ultrasonic anemometers, and laser-illuminated flow visualizations.

Online Supplemental Materials for: "Total Error and Variability Measures for the Quarterly Workforce Indicators and LEHD Origin Destination Employment Statistics in OnTheMap"

<p>This archive contains supplementary materials for the published manuscript.</p> <p>We report results from the first comprehensive total quality evaluation of five major indicators in the U.S. Census Bureau&#39;s Longitudinal Employer-Household Dynamics (LEHD) Program Quarterly Workforce Indicators (QWI): total flow-employment, beginning-of-quarter employment, full-quarter employment, average monthly earnings of full-quarter employees, and total quarterly payroll. Beginning-of-quarter employment is also the main tabulation variable in the LEHD Origin-Destination Employment Statistics (LODES) workplace reports as displayed in OnTheMap (OTM), including OnTheMap for Emergency Management. We account for errors due to coverage; record-level non-response; edit and imputation of item missing data; and statistical disclosure limitation. The analysis reveals that the five publication variables under study are estimated very accurately for tabulations involving at least 10 jobs. Tabulations involving three to nine jobs are a transition zone, where cells may be fit for use with caution. Tabulations involving one or two jobs, which are generally suppressed on fitness-for-use criteria in the QWI and synthesized in LODES, have substantial total variability but can still be used to estimate statistics for untabulated&nbsp; aggregates as long as the job count in the aggregate is more than 10.</p>

Data for: Improving Kieker's Scalability by Employing Linked Read-Optimized and Write-Optimized NoSQL Storage

<p>We show, how polyglot persistence increase Kieker&#39;s scalability by employing separate read-optimized and write-optimized noSQL storage. For this purpose we extended Kieker to store its monitoring output in Apache Cassandra , which is a write-optimized wide-column noSQL database. For the analysis of the generated monitoring output we are using ElasticSearch, a read-optimized document store noSQL storage. We are interlinking read-optimized and write-optimized noSQL storage within our Regression Benchmarking Execution Environment (RBEE). To ensure scalability we are employing a container infrastructure. The mentioned noSQL storages and the linker are operating within one single Docker container which scales horizontally.</p> <p>For generating reference values, we instrumented a Java SE application with Kieker&#39;s file system writer and measured throughput and method&#39;s execution times. Consecutively, we instrumented the same Java SE application with our Apache Cassandra writer and measured throughput and method&#39;s execution time. Finally, we compared measurement results of Kieker&#39;s file system writer with the measurement results of our Apache Cassandra writer.</p>

High-resolution maps of material stock, population and employment in Austria from 1985 to 2018

<p>Global societal material stocks such as buildings and infrastructure accumulated rapidly within recent decades, along with population growth. Material stocks constitute the physical basis of most socio-economic activities and services, such as mobility, housing, health, or education. The dynamics of stock growth, and its relation to the population that demands those services, is an essential indicator for long-term societal resource use and patterns of emissions. The creation of societal material stock creates path dependencies for future resource use, with an important impact on how the transformation towards sustainable societies can succeed.</p> <p>This dataset features detailed maps of material stock and population, as well as the distribution of jobs, for Austria on a 30m grid. The data is based on recent maps of material stock and building volume (compare to Haberl et al. 2021, doi: 10.1021/acs.est.0c05642, data: https://zenodo.org/record/4522892), recent and historic census data, and a time series of Landsat TM, ETM+, and OLI Earth Observation data.</p> <p><strong>Temporal extent</strong></p> <p>The data contains annual maps from 1985 to 2018.</p> <p><strong>Data format and units</strong></p> <p>Per Austrian federal state, the data come in tiles of 30x30km. The projection is EPSG:3035. The images are compressed GeoTiff files (*.tif). There is a mosaic in GDAL Virtual format (*.vrt), which can readily be opened in most Geographic Information Systems.
