Common database for gender equality audit (GEA)

These datasets were produced under ATHENA WP2, which collected data to analyze the situation on gender equality (GE) at each consortium organization implementing a gender equality plan (GEP). The organizational data were collected through quantitative and qualitative indicators, which were clustered in 6 gender dimensions:

The pool of graduate talents

Gender balance in research

Gender balanced career advancement

Gender balance in decision making

Gender balanced working conditions

Gender balance in research outputs

The indicators framework and methodology for the GEA was developed by the Institute for Social Communication Research of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (UVSK SAV) team in cooperation with the University of Bucharest (UB) and University Jana Kochanowskiego in Kielce (UJK) teams. The ATHENA institutions started the process of data collection in March 2021. Although the project consortium consists of various types of research organisations, the indicators reflect the RPO/HEI organisation’s circumstances primarily, as this type prevails among the partners. However, other types of organisation have been encouraged to collect the indicators adjusted to their conditions or indicate that the calculation of the indicators was not applicable (n/a).

All the information collected was reported in the deliverable D2.1, contributing to provide solid basis on the current status of GE at organizational level for the development and implementation of the ATHENA GEPs.

OneDrive ZIP64 "total number of disks" equals 0 demo file

This is a test file that demonstrates a problem with faulty large ZIP files that are generated by the Microsoft OneDrive web client. The value of the “total number of disks” field in the “zip64 end of central dir locator” for this file is set to 0 (zero). Since most reader tools expect a value of 1 for this field, this leads to various interoperability problems. A detailed discussion of this problem van be found in the following blog post:

Does Microsoft OneDrive export large ZIP files that are corrupt?

The ZIP file contains five 1-GB files, each of which is made up of null-bytes only.

Datasets from Approximate equality of character strings and its application to record linkage in metadata of scientific publications thesis

The datasets were produced in my thesis project. The thesis (in Czech language) explores the application of approximate string matching in scientific publication record linkage process. An introduction to record matching along with five commonly used metrics for string distance (Levenshtein, Jaro, Jaro-Winkler, Cosine distances and Jaccard coefficient) are provided. These metrics are applied on publication metadata from V3S current research information system of the Czech Technical University in Prague. Based on the findings, optimal thresholds in the F1, F2 and F3-measures are determined for each metric.

Thesis citation:
DOBIÁŠOVSKÝ, Jan. Approximate equality of character strings and its application to record linkage in metadata of scientific publications [online]. SI Figure 1: Dispersion values (a boxplot using distance to centroids based on Bray Curtis distance matrix) of external and internal bacterial microbiome composition for different hosts. In a mixed linear model, microinvertebrates did not significantly impact dispersion (P=0.44), but microbiome type did (P=0.03). Pairwise contrasts show that while external microbiomes of P. murrayi and Tardigrada are more variable than their internal microbiomes, E. antarcticus external and internal microbiomes are equally variable. in External and internal microbiomes of Antarctic nematodes are distinct, but more similar to each other than the surrounding environment
