Johann Wolfgang von Goethe COVID-19

Worldwide famous statues like Manneken Pis in Brussels, Queen Victoria in the Piccadilly Gardens in Manchester or Queen singer Freddy Mercury in Montreux have had a protective mask put on, during the Covid-19 pandemic. As an exhilaration, but also as an appeal for the best possible protection of each individual in the crisis. The Goethe monument in Vienna, which is known far beyond the borders, was also provided with a protective mask. The monument in honour of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe was designed by Edmund von Hellmer and unveiled on 15 December 1900. The poet is portrayed sitting in a bronze ceremonial armchair on a three-tiered pedestal of Italian granite. The monument is 5.55 m high. ![](https://wien.noe-3d.at/SF/goethe.jpg) Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

**Bust of the German writer Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, made in the 1830s/1840s** Collection: Part of the sculpture collection at the city museum of Berlin, Germany. The collection consists of 3.000 objects of which a third are portrait busts of famous Berlin artists, scholars, politicians and rulers. Model: The model is based only on 48 photographs taken from one angle in order to test the platform and RealityCapture. This results in some irregularities at the top of the head. See the object in our database: https://sammlung-online.stadtmuseum.de/Details/Index/296288 More about Goethe: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johann_Wolfgang_von_Goethe **CC-BY-Attribution: Stadtmuseum Berlin | Oliver Ziebe** Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
