Gramophone, entre 1927 et 1933 Fabricant: Victor Talking Machine / modèle Victrola Bois, métal 93,00 x 58,70 x 49,50 cm Collection Musée POP, 1994.2196 Au Canada, la production de disques et de tourne-disques commence en 1899, lorsque Berliner ouvre une filiale à Montréal sous le nom de Victor Talking Machine. Cette compagnie lance le modèle Victrola où le cornet de l'appareil est dissimulé à l'intérieur d'un meuble repensé pour décorer les salons de la bonne société. Son dispositif est entièrement mécanique pour la rotation du disque comme pour la reproduction du son.
