ADDRESSING TAX COMPLIANCE ISSUES FOR LOAN-BASED PAYMENT TYPES: DEVELOPMENT OF THE TAX BUFFER MECHANISM AND ITS USE IN THE FINTECH INDUSTRY
<p>In the modern world of the fintech industry, tax changes are one of the key problems, especially with fixed loans. This study examines the Tax Buffer mechanism, designed to effectively manage tax obligations that vary depending on the jurisdiction and stages of delivery of goods. The main task of the mechanism is to automatically recalculate taxes to minimize the risk of errors and reduce the burden on the accounting and legal departments of the company. The implementation of this solution allows you to reduce the number of manual operations, reduce transaction costs and improve the customer experience by eliminating the need to notify users of every change in the amount of taxes. The results of the implementation of the mechanism have shown its high efficiency: a significant reduction in the number of errors and financial disputes, as well as an increase in operational efficiency. The Tax Buffer mechanism is an important innovation that helps to increase the resilience of fintech companies to changes in tax legislation.</p>
Numerical simulations and experimental measurements of the ULB semi-industrial furnace for the development of a Digital Twin
<p>This dataset contains the numerical and experimental data used to build the Digital Twin in Aversano et al. (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.proci.2020.06.045) and the adaptive Digital Twin in Procacci et al. (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.proci.2022.07.029).</p> <p>The directory "Numerical_data" includes 45 text files containing the data coming from the CFD simulations of the ULB furnace. <br> In each file, for each computational cell the features reported are: <br> - the cell's position in x, y, z coordinates and in meters.<br> - the cell's temperature in K. <br> - the cell's species mass fraction of NO (mf-pollut-pollutant-0), CO, OH, H2, H2O, CO2, O2, CH4.<br> The details of the setup of the numerical simulations are reported in Aversano et al.</p> <p>The numerical simulations have been computed for different values of the equivalence ratio (phi), blend of H2-CH4 (H2) and <br> inlet diameter (D).<br> The simulations for different inlet diameter where computed using different meshes, with slightly different numbers of cells.<br> In the file 'cases_parameters.csv', the value of the parameters is reported for of each simulation. There is a <br> discrepancy between the naming of the simulations in Aversano et al. and the one used in naming the files, so both are reported.</p> <p>The experimental measurements used to validate the numerical simulations can be found in the directory "Experimental_data". Each<br> file contains the value of the measured temperature along with the position in x and z in meters (y being 0). The temperature is<br> in K. The experimental uncertainty is estimated at 10 K.</p> <p>The file 'grid.vtu' contains the computational grid used to solve the CFD simulations. We encourage other researchers to perform open coding and other analysis techniques on the data to verify our claims and to generate new insights.</p>

Data for: Industrial energy development decouples ungulate migration from the green wave
<p>The ability to freely move across the landscape to track the emergence of nutritious spring green-up (termed "green-wave surfing"), is key to the foraging strategy of migratory ungulates. Across the vast landscapes traversed by many migratory herds, habitats are being altered by development with unknown consequences for surfing. Using a unique long-term tracking dataset, we found that when energy development occurs within mule deer (<em>Odocoileus hemionus</em>) migration corridors, migrating animals become decoupled from the green wave. During the early phases of a coalbed natural gas development, deer synchronized their movements with peak green-up. But faced with increasing disturbance as development expanded, deer altered their movements by holding up at the edge of the gas field and letting the green wave pass them by. Development often modified only a small portion of the migration corridor but had far-reaching effects on behavior before and after migrating deer encountered it, thus reducing surfing along the entire route by 38.65% over the 14-year study period. Our study suggests that industrial development within migratory corridors can change the behavior of migrating ungulates and diminish the benefits of migration. Such disruptions to migratory behavior present a common mechanism whereby corridors become unprofitable and could ultimately be lost on highly developed landscapes.</p>

DEVELOPMENT OF THE AGRO-INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX OF RUSSIA AT THE PRESENT STAGE
<p><span>The article shows the development of agriculture in Russia at the present stage. It is agriculture that today is steadily one of the fastest growing sectors of the Russian economy. The production of certain products has been demonstrating historical records for a number of years, which has allowed Russia to become a prominent supplier to world markets. The growth of the agricultural sector has been facilitated by both natural factors (geographical location, large areas of agricultural land, vast water resources), investment inflows and improved management. The introduction of sanctions and government measures aimed at import substitution also contributed to the development of agricultural production in the country. This trend coincided with a significant increase in demand for basic foodstuffs due to population growth, primarily urban population growth, climate change, etc. It should be noted that the growth in demand contributes to the growth of long-term risks of instability in the world markets. </span></p>

Material Suplementar - Is secure software development education necessary in the software industry? Answers from professionals of a technology hub in Brazil
<p><span>Context: The education and training of information security professionals is essential to ensure the protection of data and systems, as well as the privacy and security of sensitive information. Problem: This work aims to explore the context of a local technology hub to answer the following research question: Is secure software development education necessary in the software industry? Solution: To answer this question, an exploratory study was performed to understand the need for secure software development education from the point of view of software practitioners in a technology hub. Method: A questionnaire was prepared and sent to professionals of a Brazilian technology hub. Answers were analyzed by using qualitative research methods. Results: We obtained thirty eight answers. According to the results obtained, the majority of participants consider information security education important for the development of secure software. However, there is still a lack of information security education. Contributions: It is concluded that companies should invest more in adequate and comprehensive training on the topic, in addition to encouraging and rewarding professionals who prioritize software security in their projects. It is essential to disseminate a culture of information security throughout the organization, from senior management to development professionals, to make everyone aware of the importance of information security and their responsibility in maintaining it. Finally, it should be noted that developers have a crucial role in ensuring software security, being responsible for seeking knowledge and improving their skills in secure development through training, reading and practice</span><span>.
