CADI Ionosonde Data - Palmas (2008-2009)
<p>Ionograms recorded by the CADI ionosonde installed in the observatory of Palmas (10.17° S; 48.33° W; dip lat. 8.3° S), Brazil. The dataset contains images of the ionograms recorded from December/2008 to November/2009. These data were used in the study of sporadic-E layers by Fontes et al. (2022).</p>

<p>Dataset of raw ionograms with one hour periodicity recorded at the Ukrainian Antarctic Station "Akademik Vernadsky" from January 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021 by SDR-based ionosonde (file name template: YYYYMMDD_HHMM_iono.ion; example: 20210101_0000_iono.ion) and IPS-42 ionosonde (file name template: YYhMMm.ion; example: 00h00m.ion). Satellite Traces simulated by virtual ionosonde experiment
<p>This dataset contains the ionospheric electron density distributions consisting of shallow and deep upwellings and a plasma bubble simulated from the High-resolution plasma bubble model, which were used as different cases of background ionosphere for the virtual ionosonde experiment. The resultant virtual ionograms consisting of main and satellite traces are also included in this dataset. </p>

<p>The given dataset has been used for the analysis in the aricle "Prediction of equatorial plasma bubble formation using ionosonde observations from India". It contains day-to-day observations/predictions of events from Gadanki, Trivandrum, and Sriharikota. It aslo contains ionosonde data (Time vs h'F) from Gadanki on 13-03-2015, 14-03-2015, 18-03-2015, 19-03-2015, 20-03-2015 and 21-03-2015 used in the study. All data are given in the .txt format.</p>

<p>The package includes the data used in Figures 1 to 6 in the paper “High-Resolution Sporadic E Layer Observation Based on Ionosonde using a Cross-Spectrum Analysis Imaging Technique".</p> <p>Since the raw data of the ionosonde is quite large and difficult to upload, the echo data of the Es layer after high-resolution imaging processing is packed together and uploaded here.</p> <p>All data can be imported and viewed directly by MATLAB with the function of "imagesc".</p> <p>Due to internal delay, the actual range should be obtained by subtracting 5 range bins.</p>
