Ethnic and Migrant Minorities (EMM) Survey Registry: All metadata records

<p>The <a href="https://ethmigsurveydatahub.eu/emmregistry/">Ethnic and Migrant Minorities (EMM) Survey Registry</a> is a free online tool that allows users to search for and learn about existing quantitative surveys undertaken with EMM (sub)populations conducted in 34 European countries, from 2000 onwards, through compiled survey-level metadata.</p> <p>The first version was produced by a team led by CEE (Sciences Po, CNRS) and jointly funded through the COST Action 16111 &ndash; ETHMIGSURVEYDATA (a network of more than 200 European researchers active in the ethnic and migration studies field), the Horizon 2020 infrastructure project&nbsp; SSHOC (within Task 9.2 on Ethnic and Migration Studies, within&nbsp; Work Package 9 on Data Communities) and the project FAIRETHMIGQUANT (an Open Science project funded by the French Agence Nationale de la Recherche, ANR).</p> <p>This specific record includes the metadata for 2,120 survey records as .dta, .sav and .csv files published on the Registry, as of 31.07.2025.</p>

Generalised Oscillator Strengths for the simulation of EELS spectra, with a broader coverage of high energy and minor edges

<p>This deposit contains a tabulated set of generalised oscillator strengths, which are required to compute the double differential cross sections for the inelastic scattering of fast electrons by atoms, i.e. for the simulation of EELS spectra.</p> <p>These tabulated values are calculated self-consistently within the local density approximation using the exchange correlation potential after Perdew [1]. For this a modified version of a program by Hamann is used [2]. Using this atomic potential the wave function of the&nbsp;ejected&nbsp;free electron&nbsp;is&nbsp;calculated, which is normalised by matching it to&nbsp;spherical Bessel and Neumann functions at large distances from the core [3]. The remaining integral constitutes a spherical Bessel transform. Using the convolution theorem this integral is solved with the fast Fourier transformation routine as done in [4]. A further discussion is available along with the code (see below), or more in-depth (but in German)&nbsp; in the <a href="https://www.uni-muenster.de/imperia/md/content/physik_pi/kohl/abschlussarbeiten/lsegger-bsc-arbeit.pdf">Thesis of L. Segger</a>.</p> <p><strong>This updated version offered here greatly expands the number of available edges</strong>, but is otherwise identical to the earlier version uploaded at <a href="https://zenodo.org/record/6599071">https://zenodo.org/record/6599071</a>.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The data offered here is in the GOSH file format, a file format developed for the distribution of such datasets. Driven distance by commuters to the center of major and minor cities in Europe

<p>The two files contains respectively a map of driving distances around major and minor cities in Europe. The distance is given by range of 5 km from 5 to 45 km in a resolution of 100m*100m. The encoding is uint8.</p> <p>The metropolitan areas considered in this study are those from this study of <a href="https://ec.europa.eu/eurostat/statistics-explained/index.php?title=Archive:European_cities_%E2%80%93_the_EU-OECD_functional_urban_area_definition">functional urban area definition</a>.</p> <p>The corresponding geofile is available at <a href="https://circabc.europa.eu/ui/group/8eafb630-27cf-4fae-a4c2-f1234a123fd7/library/59bfa33a-8f4b-413d-8552-ac0a93ad7e5f/details">this adress</a>.</p> <p>Most of the cities with more than 50&#39;000 habitants are included, some cities have been removed or added depending on the local context.</p> <p>As the geofile contains only polygones of the metropolitan areas and not the city point, the points form cities with the number of habitants have been dowloaded from <a href="http://www.naturalearthdata.com/downloads/110m-cultural-vectors/110m-populated-places/">Natural Data</a> and then selected by comparison with the polygones.</p> <p>Cities with more than 20&#39;000 have also been selected as commuting center for rural areas. Only the cities outside the metropolitan commuting zones are included.</p> <p>The calculation of driving distances around centers have been performed with <a href="https://openrouteservice.org/">OpenRouteService</a> (personal API key required, free of charge).</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Mining the health disparities and minority health bibliome: A computational scoping review and gap analysis of 200,000+ articles

<p>Without comprehensive examination of available literature on health disparities and minority health (HDMH), the field is left vulnerable to disproportionately focus on specific populations or conditions, curtailing our ability to fully advance health equity. Using scalable open-source methods, we conducted a computational scoping review of more than 200,000 articles to investigate major populations, conditions, and themes in the literature as well as notable gaps. We also compared trends in studied conditions to their relative prevalence in the general population using insurance claims (42 million Americans). HDMH publications represent 1% of articles in MEDLINE. Most studies are observational in nature, though randomized trial reporting has increased five-fold in the last twenty years. Half of all HDMH articles concentrate on only three disease groups (cancer, mental health, endocrine/metabolic disorders), while hearing, vision, and skin-related conditions are among the least well-represented despite substantial prevalence. To support further investigation, we also present HDMH Monitor, an interactive dashboard and repository generated from the HDMH bibliome.</p>
