Dataset for Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) Attacks on Power Substation Networks via GOOSE Protocol Exploitation
<p>This dataset captures network traffic from a simulated Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) campaign targeting a power substation's communication network. The attacker maintains a prolonged presence within the network, conducting low-profile scans using Nmap to stealthily discover the network configuration. The focus is on the communication between the Remote Terminal Unit (RTU), the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), and the Bay Protection Unit, all of which utilize the Generic Object Oriented Substation Event (GOOSE) protocol for critical operations.</p>

<p> Seamless network transition: While switching networks, QUIC can adapt to a network or a subnet switch (illustrated in Figure 3). This means that if the IP address of the device is changed, then the QUIC connection is not broken or lost. Unlike the TCP protocol where the connection is defined by the IP address and a port number, QUIC connections are defined by a connection ID. Whenever a network switch occurs, QUIC detects it and sends a piggybacked notification to the other party by indicating the new IP address and connection ID. In this way, the communication can resume normally. In contrast, TCP a new connection has to be established. </p>

Acadia National Park, U.S. National Park Service using Lakes and Stream Monitoring Protocol for National Parks in the Northeast Temperate Network, Version 1.1 (2006-2011)
Water quality data collected by Acadia National Park (U.S. National Park Service) staff using the procedures found in the Lakes and Stream Monitoring Protocol for National Parks in the Northeast Temperate Network, Version 1.1. Sampling occurs annually and is scheduled to continue indefinitely. Additional data from non-NPS collaborators are also included (in the pre-2006 sheets). Parameters measured in the field include Secchi transparency and surface temperature. Secchi depth was always measured using a viewing scope with "mask". Color, chlorophyll a, total nitrogen, total phosphorus, DOC, anion & cation samples were collected as grab samples or depth-integrated epilimnetic samples in lakes, and then sent to a central laboratory for analyses. These samples were collected in April, June, August and October. The National Water Quality Lab was used for analysis in 2006 & 2007; the Sawyer Environmental Chemistry Research Lab was used 2008-2011. Values below reporting/detection level indicated in associated "Flag" field. Empty cells with no associated flag indicate no data collected for parameter.
