<p>For more information about the Recommender Systems for Police Photo Lineup project, please visit: http://www.ksi.mff.cuni.cz/~peska/lineup/paper.pdf</p> <p>The dataset consists of two parts:</p> <p><strong>The raw dataset </strong>contains visual and attribute-based desriptors of the list of candidate persons:</p> <p>- personsCB_IDs.csv: ordered list of persons IDs<br> - personsData.csv: raw attribute features of the persons<br> - personsCBVectors.csv: derived binary attribute-features with TF-IDF applied. The ordering of records is the same as in personsCB_IDs.csv<br> - personsVectors.csv: derived visual descriptors of persons' images. Probability layer of VGG-Face CNN was applied for this task. The ordering of records is the same as in personsCB_IDs.csv.</p> <p><strong>The implicit feedback dataset</strong> (feedbackDatasetCB-RSFeatures.csv) contains information received from the user-study on lineup assembling task performed by seven domain experts. Matters of Police Ordinances. SKOS vocabulary
<p>The file <code>polmat.ttl</code>contains a systematic taxonomy of more than 1.800 matters regulated by police ordinances (last revised: Oct 2021). It is a SKOS vocabulary encoded in ttl/"turtle" format.</p> <p>The taxonomy has originated in the project "<a href="https://www.lhlt.mpg.de/research-project/repertory-of-policeyordnungen" rel="nofollow">Repertory of Policeyordnungen</a>" of the (then) <a href="https://www.lhlt.mpg.de/en" rel="nofollow">Max Planck Institute for Legal History and Legal Theory</a>. Initially this system of categories has been established in German in 1996 by Karl Härter and Michael Stolleis.</p> <p>The taxonomy has been SKOS-ified in November 2020 by Annemieke Romein and Andreas Wagner.</p> <p>The taxonomy is published under CC0, but we will be happy if you give attribution when you use it.</p>
Analysis of international funder data polices
<p>In October 2021, STM commissioned a research on funder data policies. The top 100 funders based on number of Crossref records were selected, and analyzed for the availability of data polices. These data policies were analyzed according to the elements of the journal data policy framework as developed by Hrynaszkiewicz et al. (https://datascience.codata.org/article/10.5334/dsj-2020-005/). This research will be used as input for more alignment between funder and data policies.</p>

<p>The parameter estimates along with their 90% confidence intervals obtained for the 20 multinomial logistic regressions are shown here in two presentations. In 'Covariate trends' we show the annual trends for the 20 years of data by type of covariate. In 'Covariates magnitude for each year', we show for each year the magnitude that each covariate has in contrast with the other 23 covariates (the intercept is not included due to scaling issues).</p> <p>All parameter estimates and their confidence intervals can be found in a table format in 'allparameters.csv'.</p>
Random dataset of HTR-ed police ordinances Bern - to test Annif
<p>This dataset consists of 4450 (out of the original 4932) police ordinances that were identified by <span>Claudia Schott-Volm, <em>Repertorium der Policeyordnungen der Frühen Neuzeit (#7). Orte der Schweizer Eidgenossenschaft: Bern und Zürich</em> (Frankfurt am Main, 2006) for the Swiss City-State of Bern (1528-1798). </span></p> <p><span>They have been randomly placed in a test (500), training (3550) and validation set (500) to test the tool Annif. The HTR-recognition was done in 2020 with the - now terminated HTR+-model 'German-Kurrent_XVI-XVIII++French' in the then commonly used Expert Version of Transkribus (READ-COOP SCE).</span></p>

Anderson Police Department Hate Crime Demographics 2023
<p>This dataset contains demographic information related to reported hate crimes within the jurisdiction of the Anderson Police Department. The data includes details on both victims and alleged perpetrators, with demographic variables such as age, gender, and race/ethnicity. The types of hate crimes covered in the dataset are based on classifications in accordance with relevant local and federal hate crime definitions.</p> <p>The dataset was obtained through a Public Records Act request and covers the time period from January 1st 2023 through December 31st 2023. This agency had no Hate Crimes to report in 2022. It was provided in MS Word format, where each row represents a unique hate crime incident and the columns capture demographic and other related variables.</p>

"The Southern District Police Station is a historic police station located at Baltimore, Maryland, United States. It is a monumental Romanesque Revival steel-framed building faced in stone and brick constructed in 1896. The station is composed of a three-story cubic main block, a two-story rear ell, and two additions built in the 1950s that fill most of the remainder of the corner lot. Police Box at Barrowlands Park
3D model of a restored police box which was placed in the Barrowland Park off of London Road, Glasgow in 2014 by the Civil Defense and Emergency Service. Preservation Trust for Calton Barras action plan. Police boxes in Glasgow had a telephone for use by the police and the public to report any incidents. They were brought in in the 1930's and were unlike other parts of the country painted red but this changed with Dr Who's (and his TARDIS's) popularity in the 1960's and the Glasgow police had them painted blue. On Google maps there are six police boxes still standing and still in use (but for getting a coffee, ice cream and hemp oil these days). Building No.7 (RCMP Police Dog Kennel and Run)
This building was constructed by joining two smaller, existing buildings together and was used by the Police in their dog-breeding program during the 1940s through to the early 60s. The Kennels are not normally accessible to the public as plywood is left over the doors to the building during the operating season. The Dog Run was constructed as a fenced enclosure using driftwood logs as posts with wire mesh fencing between the posts. Much of the fencing is lying on the ground at the present time although the posts still define the Dog Run. Neither the Kennel nor the Run are currently used. Police Headquarters, Port of Spain
Construction of Police Headquarters in Port of Spain began in 1876. It was built in Italian-Gothic style using limestone from the Piccadilly Quarries. The building presents an imposing appearance with its massive clock tower and large arched galleries on two levels. The building originally housed the head of the force as well as the quarters for non-commissioned officers. It was also the headquarters for the Volunteer Fire Brigade and Volunteer Corp. In 1882 the building was gutted by fire. By 1884 it was restored with iron staircases, concrete floors and a fire-resistant roof. It was again gutted by fire in the attempted coup of 1990 after a bomb was painted by insurrectionists. Restoration work was completed in 2001. Data from: The viewer doesn't always seem to care - response to fake animal rescues on YouTube and implications for social media self-policing policies
<p>Animal-related content on social media is hugely popular but is not always appropriate in terms of how animals are portrayed or how they are treated. This has potential implications beyond the individual animals involved, for viewers, for wild animal populations, and for societies and their interactions with animals. Whilst social media platforms usually publish guidelines for permitted content, enforcement relies at least in part on viewers reporting inappropriate posts. Currently, there is no external regulation of social media platforms. Based on a set of 241 "fake animal rescue" videos that exhibited clear signs of animal cruelty and strong evidence of being deliberately staged (i.e. fake), we found little evidence that viewers disliked the videos and an overall mixed response in terms of awareness of the fake nature of the videos, and their attitudes towards the welfare of the animals involved. Our findings suggest, firstly, that despite the narrowly defined nature of the videos used in this case study, exposure rates can be extremely high (one of the videos had been viewed over 100 million times), and, secondly, that many YouTube viewers cannot identify (or are not concerned by) animal welfare or conservation issues within a social media context. In terms of the current policy approach of social media platforms, our findings raise questions regarding the value of their current reliance on consumers as watch dogs.</p>

<p>This dataset contains demographic information on people arrested for violent and property crimes reported to the Anderson Police Department in Anderson, CA. The data includes information on the sex, race, and gender of arrestees. It covers violent crimes such as assault and robbery, as well as property crimes such as burglary and theft. Charges are listed by the CJIS IBR Offense Codes, not by statute. </p> <p>The dataset was provided by the Anderson Police Department in response to our Public Records Act request and covers the time period from Jan 1, 2022 through Dec 31, 2023. The data is presented in Microsoft Word Document format. Each row summarizes individual offenses. The demographic labels are grouped by column.</p>
