Organizing the fragmented landscape of multidisciplinary product development: A mapping of approaches, processes, methods and tools from the scientific literature - Searchable cartographies
<p>This document gathers cartographies for the development of mechatronic products, cyber-physical systems and smart products. The three cartographies presented are associated with an open-access article – see the citation box below – and differ from the ones provided in the article in that they are searchable, which makes it easier to pinpoint references, concepts and techniques. This document comprises a legend, the cartographies and a list of associated references. </p> <p>To contextualize the cartographies, the integration of digital and connectivity technologies in new products can invite companies to adapt their development. Organizing the fragmented landscape of multidisciplinary product development to help companies navigate the dense scientific literature corpus is a first step in supporting them in doing so. Multidisciplinary product development can be investigated by analyzing specific types of products that deal with both software and hardware development and can be referred to as cyber-physical systems, mechatronics, and smart products and systems in the literature. To support their development, 236 “concepts and techniques” (an expression that encompasses approaches, processes, methods and tools) were identified from 167 scientific papers through an extensive literature review and organized based on a four-level model paired with a decision tree. The mapping of the sorted concepts and techniques made it possible to generate graphical representations called “cartographies.” These cartographies represent a database of concepts and techniques for multidisciplinary product development and serve to support companies in their transformation from the product development perspective by providing them with a general overview of the related literature.</p>
Basic tools for deriving photolysis endpoints for soil photo-transformation products in groundwater
<p>This spreadsheet has been designed to determine input parameters for consideration of the photolysis pathway in FOCUS-PELMO 5.5.3 and subsequent versions. It should be used alongside the EFSA scientific guidance on “Soil phototransformation products in groundwater – consideration, parameterisation and simulation in the exposure assessment of plant protection products”.</p> <p>The tools in the spreadsheet allow to identify the relevant grid points in the solar database 'AGRI4CAST', to retrieve irradiance values for the relevant grid points and for the period of the study from the 'AGRI4CAST' database via a spatial interpolation of the irradiance values (this can also be used for other solar databases besides 'AGRI4CAST'). Furthermore, the tools enable to convert the irradiance from kWh/m², kJ/m² or J/cm² into W/m², to perform a time-step normalisation for field studies, and to compare the normalised k<sub>fast</sub> values from different field studies.</p>
Tool Artifact for "Mutation-based Lifted Repair of Software Product Lines"
<p>In this work, we describe the installation, usage, and evaluation results of the tool SPLAllRepair introduced by the paper<br>``Mutation-based Lifted Repair of Software Product Lines''. We provide step-by-step instructions on how to download, run, and compare the tool's outputs to outputs described in the paper. The tool implements a novel lifted repair algorithm for program families (Software Product Lines - SPLs) based on code mutations. The inputs of our algorithm are an erroneous SPL and a specification given in the form of assertions. We use variability encoding to transform the given SPL into a single program, called family simulator, which is translated into a set of SMT formulas whose conjunction is satisfiable iff the simulator (i.e. the input SPL) violates an assertion. We use a predefined set of mutations applied to feature and program expressions of the given SPL.<br>The algorithm repeatedly mutates the erroneous family simulator and checks if it becomes (bounded) correct. The outputs are all minimal repairs in the form of minimal number of (feature and program) expression replacements such that the repaired SPL is (bounded) correct with respect to a given set of assertions. We present the experimental results showing that our approach is able to successfully repair various interesting #ifdef-based C SPLs.</p>

DIGITAL TOOLS FOR MONITORING AND MANAGEMENT IN AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION

This data helps farmers to make quick decisions on irrigation, fertilization, and crop forecasting. Modern mobile solutions such as AgroMonitor integrate with various data sources and provide accurate information, which increases the efficiency of resource management and reduces production risks. The introduction of these technologies not only helps to increase yields but also ensures the sustainable development of agricultural operations, minimizing the impact of external factors. Thus, digital tools are becoming an important element of the modernization of the agro-industrial sector, contributing to its competitiveness at the global level.</p>
VReqST - Requirement Specification Tool Support for Virtual Reality Products
<p>Virtual Reality (VR) Environments are challenging to build with discrete and incremental requirements. VR practitioners often need human assistance to achieve product completeness, as most VR requirements are either abstract or under specified. The slightest change to these requirement specifications tends to drastically impact the overall control-flow of the product. It exponentially increases the development cost. To address the completeness of specifying VR product requirements, we introduce VReqST, a tool for specifying requirements for VR software products. We use role base model template of bare-minimum VR Software to auto-provision all dimensions of VR as a domain on specifying VR product requirements. This tool avoids ambiguity while specifying requirements and provides seamless VR product development.</p>
OPLA-Tool v2.0: a Tool for Product Line Architecture Design Optimization
<p>The Multi-objective Optimization Approach for Product Line Architecture Design (MOA4PLA) is the seminal approach that successfully optimizes Product Line Architecture (PLA) design using search algorithms. The tool named OPLA-Tool was developed in order to automate the use of MOA4PLA. Over time, the customization of the tool to suit the needs of new research and application scenarios led to several problems. The main problems identified in the original version of OPLA-Tool are environment configuration, maintainability and usability problems, and PLA design modeling and visualization. Such problems motivated the development of a new version of this tool: OPLA-Tool v2.0, presented in this work. In this version, those problems were solved by the source code refactoring, migration to a web-based graphical user interface (GUI) and inclusion of a new support tool for PLA modeling and visualization. Furthermore, OPLA-Tool v2.0 has new functionalities, such as new objective functions, new search operators, intelligent interaction with users during the optimization process, multi-user authentication and simultaneous execution of several experiments to PLA optimization. Such a new version of OPLA-Tool is an important achievement to PLA design optimization as it provides an easier and more complete way to automate this task. </p>

<p>In these .zip folders, you will find the products generated from flight missions carried out between November 7th to 14th, 2021, in the Volta Grande do Xingu, Pará, Brazil. <br>These results are presented as an integral part of the article titled '3D MODELING AS A CONSERVATION TOOL TO CHARACTERIZE ENDANGERED SEASONALLY FLOODED ECOSYSTEMS IN THE VOLTA GRANDE DO XINGU, AMAZON FOREST, PARÁ, BRAZIL' published on the doctoral thesis "Characterization and monitoring of the flooding dynamics and seasonally flooded environments of the Volta Grande do Xingu through remote sensing", available at <a href="https://doi.org/10.11606/T.106.2023.tde-02022024-211517">https://doi.org/10.11606/T.106.2023.tde-02022024-211517</a>. To understand the data processing methodology that led to these results, please refer to the thesis.<br>Each folder represents a flight mission. They are named by date and flight number (DD_MM_YYYY_FLIGHT#).<br>Within each folder, there are six files resulting from the processed flights: The georeferenced orthophoto and Digital Surface Model, which are raster files (.TIFs), the dense point cloud (.las), and the files composing the 3D Model generated by Agisoft Metashape (extensions .OBJ, .MTL, and .JPEG).<br>The .OBJ file is the primary file for visualizing the model, including the three-dimensional mesh formed by the points of the point cloud and containing geometry, texture, and color information. <br>The .MTL file contains the material description associated with the OBJ file and includes information about the visual properties of the model, such as texture, reflections, and materials. <br>The .JPEG files are the texture images used on the Digital Surface Model to generate the 3D model. This information provides the model with its realistic properties.<br>The .OBJ, .MTL and .JPEG files need to be together in the same folder for a complete 3D Model visualization (i.e., shape, color, and texture).<br>When using this data, please cite Affonso, A. SimRE: A Requirements Similarity Tool for Software Product Lines - Dataset
<p>The <strong>RequirementsPairs</strong> file consists of 34 pairs of software requirements related to GIS (Geographic Information Systems), each paired with a corresponding similarity degree. It was introduced in the paper <em>"SimRE: A Requirements Similarity Tool for Software Product Lines."</em></p> <p><strong>GISv1</strong> and <strong>GISv2</strong> refer to version 1 and version 2 of the GIS dataset, respectively. These datasets are composed of 173 requirements that represent the functionality of a web-based GIS product line.</p>

A Tool for Product Derivation and Semi-Automatic Deployment of Web-Based Systems
<p>This paper presents a tool for product derivation and semi-automatic deployment of web-based systems. The tool focuses on cloned webbased systems implemented using the PHP language, which are refactored to become software product lines. The paper also reports the results of a case study of using the tool in the context of a large scale web-based system. Our findings show some preliminary evidence of the benefits of the tool to reduce: (i) the time of product derivation and deployment; and (ii) the manual effort to customize existing cloned web-based systems.<br> </p>

Understanding multidisciplinary product development through a synthesis mapping of approaches, processes, methods and tools from the scientific literature - Searchable map
<p>This document introduces a synthesis map of approaches, processes, methods and tools for multidisciplinary product development. The presented map is associated with an open-access article – see the citation box below – and differs from the one provided in the article in that it is searchable, which makes it easier to pinpoint the approaches, processes, methods and tools. This document comprises a legend and the map. </p> <p>To contextualize the map, multidisciplinary products arise from the integration of contributions from mechanical, electrical, electronics, software, and broadly information and communication technologies. <br>This “multidisciplinarity” implies a higher technical and organizational complexity that can invite companies to adapt their development. To support companies in the adaptation of their development and navigate the dense and fragmented scientific literature corpus on multidisciplinary product development, the authors proposed to graphically organize it.</p> <p>In a first phase, multidisciplinary product development was investigated by analyzing three specific types of multidisciplinary products that can be referred to as “cyber-physical systems”, “mechatronics”, and “smart products and systems” in the literature. This first phase led to three maps which graphically organized a total of 236 “concepts and techniques” identified from 167 scientific papers through an extensive literature review and categorized based on a four-level model paired with a decision tree. A second phase, which result is represented below, introduced some simplifications and filters to the initial maps, which narrow down the number of concepts and techniques to 56. The following map represents a preliminary database of concepts and techniques for multidisciplinary product development and serves to support companies in their transformation from the product development perspective by providing them with a synthesized overview of the related literature. This work is particularly suited for companies and researchers looking for getting acquainted with the scientific literature related to multidisciplinary product development and how the different concepts and techniques can be associated.</p>
