Supplementary data for "Evolution of magmas during late-stage rhyolitic magmatism in the Altiplano-Puna Volcanic Complex as inferred by melt inclusion geochemistry at Cerro La Torta lava dome"
<p>This repository contains the supplementary data for the publication submitted to the Journal of Volcanology and Geothermal Research entitled "Evolution of magmas during late-stage rhyolitic magmatism in the Altiplano-Puna Volcanic Complex as inferred by melt inclusion geochemistry at Cerro La Torta lava dome".</p> <p>The excel file contains the complete dataset with major, minor and trace elements composition from melt inclusions, their host minerals (plagioclase and amphibole), accessory minerals (Fe-Ti oxides, apatites, pyroxene and zircon) and groundmass glass from Cerro La Torta lava dome.</p> <p>Instructions about how to read the dataset are included in the first sheet of the Excel file.</p>
Union Pacific Railroad Car, Rhyolite
Found this box car in the Rhyolite ghost town while on a capture trip through the desert for Realities.io Check out the interior! **Location** Rhyolite is a ghost town in Nye County, in the U.S. state of Nevada. It is in the Bullfrog Hills, about 120 miles (190 km) northwest of Las Vegas, near the eastern edge of Death Valley. The town began in early 1905 as one of several mining camps that sprang up after a prospecting discovery in the surrounding hills. During an ensuing gold rush, thousands of gold-seekers, developers, miners and service providers flocked to the Bullfrog Mining District. Many settled in Rhyolite, which lay in a sheltered desert basin near the region's biggest producer, the Montgomery Shoshone Mine - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhyolite,_Nevada **Method** A7rii + Mavic 2 Pro Created in RealityCapture by Capturing Reality from 223 images in 00h:19m:43s. Banded Rhyolite - Teaching Collection
**Banded Rhyolite (Igneous Extrusive):** This rock is from a silica-rich lava flow. The banding in the rock shows the movement of the lava. Rhyolite lava is very viscous (sticky) and flows slowly. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
Rhyolite outcrop 1
Photogrammetry of a rhyolite flow outcrop in the South of France. Size about 5m. Made with Reality Capture (57 pictures). Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
Rhyolite Axe
A precontact period rhyolite axe from Sevier County, Arkansas. This artifact was acquired by the Natural History Society of Maryland during the 1930s or 1940s. Zircon constraints on the eruptive sequence and magma evolution of rhyolites at South Sister volcano, Oregon
<p>This is the repository for data used for analysis in “Zircon constraints on the eruptive sequence and magma evolution of rhyolites at South Sister volcano, Oregon” submitted to Geochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems. There are four datafiles. Dechert_TableS1.xlsx includes rock sample unit information and locations. Dechert_TableS2.xlsx includes the 230Th-238U isotope ratios as collected with the Stanford-USGS SHRIMP-RG, the isochron model slope and ages, and the Boehnke model slope and ages (Boehnke et al., 2016). Dechert_TableS3.xlsx includes the trace element and rare earth element concentrations collected with the Stanford-USGS SHRIMP-RG. Dechert_TableS4.xlsx records whole rock data for a split of the zircon rock samples collected at Hamilton Analytical Lab and Washington State University.</p>
