<p>Scholix links provide a standardized framework for establishing connections between research publications and their associated datasets or related data publications, thereby fostering improved discoverability, reusability, and reproducibility of research data.<br><br>This dataset aims to facilitate the evaluation of the degree of relatedness between literature publications and their associated linked data publications. It comprises 3,600 tuples, each representing a pair of a literature publication (A) and a linked data publication (B) connected through Scholix links.</p> <p><strong>Dataset Contents</strong></p> <p>1. <em>Scholix Links</em>: The dataset includes 450 Scholix links for each of the eight most frequently observed relationship types between literature and linked data publications, as expressed in the "RelationshipType - SubType" field of Scholix metadata:</p> <ul> <li>IsSupplementedBy</li> <li>IsReferencedBy</li> <li>IsRelatedTo</li> <li>References</li> <li>Documents</li> <li>Cites</li> <li>IsSupplementTo</li> <li>IsCitedBy</li> </ul> <p>2. <em>Publication Metadata</em>: In addition to the Scholix links, the dataset is augmented with metadata for each publication, including titles and author names. This metadata was harvested from the Crossref and DataCite APIs.</p> <p>3. <em>Relatedness Measures</em>: To estimate the degree of relatedness between literature and linked data publications, the dataset includes numeric measures for the similarity of authors' lists and publication titles for each tuple.</p> <p><strong>Data Sources</strong></p> <ul> <li>Scholix links were harvested from the Scholexplorer API.</li> <li>Publication metadata (titles and author names) were obtained from the Crossref and DataCite APIs.</li> </ul> <p>This dataset can be valuable for researchers and practitioners working on linked literature and data publications, evaluating the quality of existing links, or developing algorithms to identify related publications across different domains.</p>
OpenAIRE ScholeXplorer Service: Scholix JSON Dump
<p>This dataset contains the GZ-compressed dump of the Scholix links (<a href="https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.6351557">schema Version 4</a>) exposed by the OpenAIRE ScholeXplorer service. It consists of 417+Mi bi-directional links (i.e. 975+Mi directed links) between literature-dataset and dataset-dataset involving 24+ Mi literature objects and 37+ Mi datasets (showing an increase of around 160Mi links wrt the previous release). Links are collected from publishers (CrossRef, EventData), data centers (DataCite and data centers), institutional/thematic repositories (OpenAIRE), life-science databases (EMBL-EBI), and inferred by OpenAIRE via text-mining around 14Mi publication's PDFs. The dataset is structured in 30 compressed files, each of at most ~10 Gb, for a total of ~328GB.</p> <p><strong>Note that the dataset matches a new version of the schema (</strong><a href="https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.6351557">schema Version 4</a>). Changes are minor, backward compatible, and regard optional fields and extensions of vocabularies. The <strong>readme.doc</strong> file includes a description of the schema changes and statistics about the dataset.</p>
Scholix Report: Who Contributes to Scholix?
<p>This dataset contains the analysis of Scholix JSON Dump (DOI: <a href="https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.1200253">10.5281/zenodo.1200253</a>). The aim is to discover which journals contributing to Scholix Hubs. The scope of this analysis is limited to:</p> <ul> <li>OpenAIRE ScholeXplorer Service: Scholix JSON Dump (March 16, 2018) [DOI: <a href="https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.1200253">10.5281/zenodo.1200253</a>]</li> <li>Only included DOI from Crossref and excluded DataCite DOIs.</li> </ul> <p>This dataset includes three files:</p> <ol> <li>scholix-crossref-doi-metadata.tar.gz: Complete Crossref metadata for DOIs in Scholix JSON Dump resolved using https://api.crossref.org/works/{doi}</li> <li>scholix-crossref-doi-prefixes.csv: List of DOI prefixes extracted from scholix-crossref-doi-metadata.json</li> <li>scholix-journals-report.csv: Aggregated record from the number of unique DOIs per journal. This analytics is also derived from scholix-crossref-doi-metadata.json</li> </ol>

<p>This dataset contains the set of citations extracted for the large by the OpenAIRE Information Inference Service (IIS). It consists of tar archives, each containing gzip-compressed files, including new-line delimited JSON records in Scholix format.</p> <p>The dataset counts 36.430.057 citations, from citing scientific products.</p> <p>The type of PIDs among the citing and the cited products include:</p> <ul> <li>DOI</li> <li>PMC</li> <li>PMID</li> <li>ArXiv</li> <li>Handle</li> </ul>
