Genome-Wide Mutational Signatures of Aristolochic Acid and Its Application as a Screening Tool

The .zip files contain the fastq files for the cell line data published in DOI: 10.1126/scitranslmed.3006086 plus results of analyzing these data. HK2_AA and HK2b-8d2 were exposed to AA (aristolochic acid I), and HK2_ctrl was an unexposed control. The .tsv files are VCF-like files with the mutations found in the exposed cells. spectrum_counts.txt are what are now called "SBS96" spectra -- counts of single base substitutions in the contexts of preceding and following bases. The PDF file has plots of these. (The HUC1 cells that were exposed did not show AA-related mutations.)

Prototyping 3D Virtual Learning Environments with X3D-based Content and Visualization Tools-Figure 10. Room model generated with Autodesk 123D Catch - the 3D model (screen capture from GLC Player)

Structure from motion was used for rapid modeling of a small room with all its objects. Two files were generated, a Wavefront obj and mtl (corresponding to the texture). The 3D model was post-processed with MeshLab, during which several filters were applied to clean up the model. The mesh model was also connected with the scanned model, by choosing at least 4 connection points. The 2D and 3D results are shown in Figures 9, 10. A post-processing could also be performed using the Autodesk 123D Catch web application.

UV mutagenesis conjugated to high throughput screening as a tool to generate new phenotypic diversity in wine yeast

The current global changes, societal and climatic, strongly challenge the wine industry. Multiple methods are applied in the development of new strains for the industry, but many are based on the existing phenotypic and genetic diversities. UV mutagenesis, as an untargeted strategy, has been successfully used for years, with significant examples on wine. Here we developed and validated a UV-mutant generation strategy coupled with a high throughput screening in wine-like conditions. This strategy led to the production of a 502 mutant’s library for which concentrations of eight primary metabolites after fermentation were assessed. This data paper presents the resulting data.
