<p>This repository contains all the tree-ring and historical archives used by Guillet et al. (2020) to assess the climatic impacts of the 1108-1110 CE volcanic eruptions</p> <p>For more information, we refer the user to the readme file entitled "Guillet_et_al_SciReports2020_Readme.txt"</p> <p>We note that investigations of European historical archives are still carried ongoing. The file entitled "Guillet_et_al_SciReports2020_Supp_Info_Table_S1_S2_Historical_Sources.xlsx" will be updated as new material is discovered.</p> <p>We welcome every addition or contribution that may help to extend the number of historical sources available and better document the climatic and societal response to the 1108-1110 CE cluster of eruptions. Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews 158, 112087.</p> <p>Dataset includes suitability maps for offshore windfarms, where priority values are scaled between 0-1 (note the reversed value scale): analysis solution (A) economy, (B) society, (C) biodiversity, (D) restrictions, (E) A+B+C without restrictions and (F) A+B+C with restrictions. Alloy Sustainability Database - Evaluating the Economic, Environmental, and Societal Impacts of High-Entropy Alloys
<p>This database encompasses 18 elements and details over 400 high entropy alloys (HEAs), Ni-based superalloys, and steels, providing an extensive review of their properties and capabilities. To assess the broader implications of these materials, we have developed nine indicators that evaluate their economic, environmental, and human health impacts. Each indicator is meticulously described, including the methods used for their calculation. This data has been compiled with the goal of integrating considerations of societal impact into the alloy design process, thereby promoting the development of materials that are not only innovative but also socially responsible.</p>
Exploring Societal Impact: global researcher attitudes, raw data from a 2019 survey
<p>This data was generated as part of a global survey with more than 9,000 researchers, conducted in June 2019 by Springer Nature. It investigates the global attitudes of researchers towards societal impact, with specific relation to the UN's sustainable development goals. Data from: How science communications can help build societal perceptions of invasive alien species and their impacts on the environment
<p>In this study, we investigated the reported beneficial aspects of the invasive alien plant species (IAPS) and argued that, over time and space, the detrimental impacts of the IAS might endanger sustainable livelihoods. The data set contains the following files:</p> <p>Data_S1.xlsx: The file contains details of 154 literature reports. From each paper, we extracted IAPS names (both as reported and standardized), taxonomic information (family and taxon rank), year, country, the scale of observation, and reported beneficial impacts. The beneficial impacts were further categorized into 13 use categories at TDWG (Taxonomic Databases Working Group) Level-1 states (in binary format - 1 indicates the IAPS use and 0 indicates not in use for the individual category).</p> <p>The Metadata_S1.pdf file contains detailed information on preparing literature records for data extraction, the data extraction process, and data organization. </p>
