UnityMol COVID19 Spike protein 360 video

A 360 degree video with a camera path through the COVID19 spike protein-ACE2 complex (example 1 of our paper on biorxiv), illustrating the use of specific cameras to export enriched media.

NB: not all video players allow you to experience the 360 degree navigability. The youtube link should work fine.

UnityMol demo movie showing custom user-added menus

This video provides more detailed supportive information about using Unitymol.

1) start up UnityMol

2) activate the functionality to remote control Unitymol

3) edit the provided example script menu-spike1.py to include the right filepath

4) execute menu-spike1.py with python

5) first there is only one button, allowing you to load the scene

6) once loaded, several customized views are available through dedicated buttons

UnityMol Annotations and Measurements Walkthrough video

This video provides more detailed supportive information about using Unitymol.

In this brief annotated video we demo the measurement capacities of UnityMol (distance, angle and dihedral angle) as well as its free-form hand-drawn annotation possibility.

UnityMol Tour functionality Walkthrough video

This video provides more detailed supportive information about using Unitymol.

In this brief annotated video we demo the guided tour capacities of UnityMol enabling to register waypoints to be played back for easy guided navigation.

Unitymol demo on generating 360 degree videos

This video provides more detailed supportive information about using Unitymol.

It requires to run UnityMol from the Unity editor. It will not work with the UnityMol executable.

1) from within the Unity editor with an opened UnityMol project, open the Recorder window
2) add a new Movie recorder, setting parameters as shown in the tutorial video
3) launch the UnityMol project (play mode) and start recording
4) do what you want to be captured within UnityMol (can be live action, can be executing a pre-recorded script ..)
5) stop recording when finished

Ryanodine receptor model exploration in Virtual Reality with UnityMol

Here we provide supplementary material to our article on integrative modeling. We explor one of the models generated for the ryanodine receptor.

In particular, we show ryanodine receptor model exploration in Virtual Reality with UnityMol, demonstrating also some features of the software.

The exploration looks at the overall structure, the packing integrity of the subunits, the channel pore, the channel constriction, the S6 helix and the transmembrane domain in particular.
