FIGURE 6 in Taxonomic revision of the Neotropical water snake Hydrops triangularis (Serpentes, Colubridae)
FIGURE 6. Geographic distribution of H. triangularis. 1. North Brazil; 2. Eastern of Guyana, Surinam and French Guyana; 3. Trinidad and western of Guyana; 4. Venezuela, Ecuador and Colombia; 5. Bolivia; 6. Peru. Closed circles: material studied; open cicles: data from Roze (1957); Zaher and Caramaschi (1996); Fuenmayor and Fuentes (2000); Albuquerque (2001); and Markezich (2001). Yuki (1997) recorded H. triangularis for Ribeiro Gonçalves, Piauí state, Brazil; this locality actually is situated in Maranhão state (see Vanzolini & Papavero 1968; Painter & Traylor 1991). We reidentified the specimen recorded as H. triangularis for Aquidauana, Mato Grosso do Sul by Albuquerque (2001) as H. caesurus.
