Abu Bakr b. &lsquo;Omar Makhd&ucirc;m&icirc; ¹ <a href="https://id.loc.gov/authorities/names/n84033077.html">DAM&Acirc;M&Icirc;N&Icirc;</a> M&acirc;lik&icirc; (d. A.H. 828). Stewart&rsquo;s Catal. 127, xxxiv., and above, nos. <a href="https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.5815728">964</a> [= IO Islamic 999] and&nbsp;<a href="https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.5815833">967</a> [=IO Bijapur 7].</p> <p>The author wrote this commentary A.H. 825, when he was on the way to Aḥsan&acirc;b&acirc;d (=<a href="https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q37112">Gulbargah</a>), where he intended to present it to <a href="https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q3482078">Aḥmad Sh&acirc;h</a> <a href="https://id.loc.gov/authorities/subjects/sh86005343.html">Bahman&icirc;</a> [1422-36] (ابو المغازى شهاب الدنيا والدين احمد شاه السلطان ).</p> <p>He praises this king accordingly in his preface.</p> <p>The work is dated as follows:</p> <p>&nbsp;و كان تاليف هذا الكتاب بجزيرة المهائم ¹ من بلاد الهند فى مدةٍ اولها اواخر شهر رمضان المعظم سنة خمس و عشرين و ثمان مائة و آخرها يوم الاحد الحادى و العشرون من ذى الحجة الحرام من السنة المذكورة و ابتدأت نقله الى هذه المبيّضة باحسناباد فى يوم السبت الثالث و العشرين من صفر سنة ست و عشرين ووافق الفراغ من هذا النقل يوم الثلثاء الثامن من جمادى .. ² سنة ست المذكورة قال ذلك و كتبه مولفه اقل عبيد الله تعالى محمد بن من ابى بكر المخدومى المالكى حامدا الخ</p> <p>Well written, the text in a large character.
