FIG. 3. — Simplified stratigraphic section through the middle Eocene to earliest Oligocene layers of the type locality of Playa Media Luna, indicating the position of the holotype of Mystacodon selenensis MUSM 1917 in the middle part of the Yumaque Formation (dated to 36.4 Ma, early Priabonian, early late Eocene), together with absolute ages for a series of sediment samples collected along the section. Ages are based on the calcareous nannofossil biostratigraphic analysis and corresponding biozonations (NP 16-21; Martini 1971; Agnini et al. 2014; Lambert et al. (2017a).
