Foundation Medicine Inc.

FMI has provided the GDC with genomic profiling data from approximately 18,000 adult patients with a diverse array of cancers that underwent genomic profiling using FoundationOne, FMI's commercially available, comprehensive genomic profiling assay. FMI routinely analyzes cancer specimens using the advanced sequencing technology of FoundationOne. The GDC modified FMI's patient data with a LiftOver pipeline to harmonize genomic profiles with the GRCh38 reference genome.

Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF)

The Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) mission is to find a cure for multiple myeloma by pursuing innovation that accelerates the development of next-generation treatments to extend the lives of patients. The MMRF is focused on using precision medicine to help patients get the right treatment based on their specific molecular information. The MMRF gathers, generates and analyzes vital information about multiple myeloma, patients, and treatments, shares the data with researchers and institutions, and evaluates new treatments through a collaborative research consortium. These efforts are helping to accelerate discovery and produce better, more targeted treatments for people living with multiple myeloma. The Relating Clinical Outcomes in Multiple Myeloma to Personal Assessment of Genetic Profile study is the MMRF's landmark personalized medicine initiative. CoMMpass is a longitudinal observation study of around 1000 newly diagnosed myeloma patients receiving various standard approved treatments.

LANGUAGE FOUNDATIONS OF ORAL SPEECH DEVELOPMENT

Children create strong language skills when they are involved in playful, language-rich situations with opening to learn new words. Hands-on experiences encourage learning and provide a context for new words to be explored. For example, it’s easier for children to learn vegetable names when they are touching or tasting them.

Unpacking the Ideational Foundations of South American Migration Governance: A systematic analysis of the South American Conference on Migration

Is there empirical proof for a liberal paradigm that informs South American immigration governance? And how does this paradigm relate to other ideas on managing immigration? Based on Pécoud’s (2021) categorization of immigration governance philosophies, and the content analysis of all final declarations of the South American Conference on Migration between 2000 and 2022, we confirm a dominant liberal paradigm in South American regional migration governance. We further find that this liberal, or global rights-based philosophy operates as a hinge between three other philosophies: the free (non) governance of migration, anti-migrant governance, and managerial/development global migration governance philosophy. This paper shows the applicability of Pécoud’s (2021) immigration governance philosophies to a major immigrant receiving region in the Global South, and contributes to the ideational literature by showing how paradigms and philosophies represent ideational building blocks that can be combined, merged, and adapted by political actors to different regional contexts.
