Size 12^1/2 in. by 8^1/4 in.; foll. 169. Twenty-five lines in a page.</p> <p>A Christian work, partly theological and partly descriptive, on the creation, man, and the world. It was translated from the Syriac by &lsquo;ABD AL-N&Ucirc;R &Acirc;MID&Icirc;, a Syrian monk, راهب سريانى .</p> <p>It seems to be identical with the Karshunic MS. described in Cat. Bodl. i. (Charshun.), p. 17, lxxx.</p> <p>Begins:</p> <p>&hellip;. بسم الله واجب الوجود و به ثقتى و رجائى.... نبتدئ بترجمة کتاب عام لکل الامم الموجودین تحت السماء من اللغة السريانية الى اللغة العربية يتضمن علم المعرفة الحقيقية الخ</p> <p>The work was intended to contain nine books مقالة , though only seven are to be found both in this and the Bodl. MS. These books have no special titles. Each consists of a succession of paragraphs (فصل) , a complete list of which is given at the beginning of the work.</p> <p>Written in a large plain hand.
