DOI: 10.1371/journal.pone.0222806.</p> <p>The dataset contains all data needed to reproduce the results in the above cited manuscript. Variable description and labels can be found in the codebook. For further information on the instruments used please refer to the manuscript.</p> <p>The data was collected between April 2016 and March 2018 in Switzerland by the C-SURF study (<a href="http://www.c-surf.ch">www.c-surf.ch</a>). Participants were on average 25 years old when they answered the questionnaires. The final sample size used in the manuscript is 5516. Please note that the dataset contains 25 datasets created with multiple imputation, therefore there are no missing values in the dataset.</p> <p>The research protocol for this study was approved by the Human Research Ethics Committee of the Canton Vaud (Protocol No. 15/07). DailySense: a Daily Self-reports and Physiological Signals Sensing Dataset for Subjective Health Research in the Wild
<p><strong>Description:<br></strong>This is a daily self-reports and physiological signals sensing dataset for subjective health research in the wild (<strong><em>DailySense</em></strong>). This is a dataset from a consecutive 14-day experiment in real-life settings composed of smartphone-based subjective psychological evaluation and physiological sensing. A Total of 36 healthy Japanese adult remote workers (mean±SD, 35.8±7.5; range, 27–58 years; 21 male and 15 female participants) participated in the experiment through two terms (1st term [1], 18 participants from a Japanese company without rewards; 2nd term, 18 participants from a participant's pool with rewards).</p> <p>The study protocol was approved by the internal review board of Research & Development Group, Hitachi, Ltd., and was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki. All participants provided informed consent prior to enrollment in this study. Panel of self-reported environmental and non-environmental shocks and migration in Tanzania
<p>This clean dataset was produced by Julia Blocher and Roman Hoffmann using the National Panel Survey - Tanzania: Data on Living Standards conducted by the World Bank and National Bureau of Statistics (https://www.worldbank.org/en/programs/lsms/brief/national-panel-survey-data-on-the-living-standards-of-tanzania). Our data set contains three survey waves (2008/9, 2010/11, 2012/13) and is different from the TZNPS data because it is grouped by a harmonized household and individual identifiers that can be tracked across the three waves. It was used for the paper "The effects of environmental and non-environmental shocks on livelihoods and migration in Tanzania", Population & Environment 46(1). Later waves are not included as the sample differs.</p>
ICU post- discharge persistent symptoms, self-reported health and quality of life of COVID-19 survivors: A cohort study.
<p> </p> <p>Understanding the consequences and health impact of COVID-19 survivors discharged from the ICU is still unclear. The aim of this study was to investigated persistent symptoms, health satisfaction and health related quality of life (HRQoL) of patients that were hospitalized due COVID-19 infection after 30, 90 and 180 days from ICU discharge. This is a multicentric prospective cohort study of COVID-19 survivors discharged from 8 hospitals of Curitiba – Paraná (Brazil), between September 2020 and January 2022. Eligible COVID 19 survivors were contacted by phone and invited to answer telephone survey at 30, 90 and 180 days after ICU discharge. They responded a phone questionnaire to collect post-discharge clinical symptoms, and we also asked about health satisfaction and HRQoL. 62 COVID-19 survivors (51,6% males, mean age 50,3 years, median length of ICU stay of 13 days) responded to the telephone survey at 30, 90 and 180 days. The most persistent symptoms were fatigue (65,9%, 51,3%, 44,7%, respectively), mild dyspnea (42%, 31%, 29,8%, respectively) and myalgia (29%, 22,1%, 17%, respectively). Myalgia showed a significant reduction from 30 days to 180 days (p=0,034), and the number of symptoms also reduced significantly (30 to 90 days, <em>p=0.018</em>, 30 to 180 days<em>, p=0.001 </em>). At 30, 90 and 180 follow up days the most patients had reported “good” quality of life (59,7%, 62,9%, 51,6%, respectively), and “satisfied” with health (43,5%, 48,4%, 46,8%, respectively). We found that COVID-19 symptoms persist to 180 days, fatigue more commonly. Nevertheless, in this cohort study, most COVID-19 survivors reported good quality of life and were satisfied with health.</p>

Dataset to "Loneliness is associated with retrospective self-reports of adverse childhood experiences – A replication study in Ethiopia"
<p>Find our SPSS Dataset belonging to the yet to be published work <strong>“Loneliness is associated with retrospective self-reports of adverse childhood experiences – A replication study in Ethiopia”</strong>. This cross-sectional study is investigating the interplay between adverse childhood experiences, loneliness, social network size, and mental health problems in Ethiopia in a clinical and non-clinical group. The study sample consists of 125 psychiatric outpatients at Jimma University Medical Center, South-West of Ethiopia, suffering from major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, or psychotic disorders, and 131 non-clinical study participants. Led by an interviewer, participants completed the UCLA Loneliness Scale, the Childhood Trauma Questionnaire, the Social Network Index, and the WHO-5 Well-Being Index. </p> <p>Definitions of the variable values and additional information can be found in the attached Codebook.</p>

An Evaluation of Self-reported Level of Entrustment across the First Year of Clinical Practice [dataset]
<p><strong>This file contains the data files from each of the four surveys (Times 1 to 4), and the questionnaires used to collect the data at Time 1, and Times 2-3.</strong></p> <p><strong>Background.</strong> Newly graduated medical students often report that they lack the skills required to care for patients, and feel unprepared for clinical practice. However, little is known about when, and if, they acquire these skills in practice.</p> <p><strong>Objective.</strong> To assess self-reported level of entrustment in, and frequency of performance of, the seven Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs) comprising the EPA framework for interns in Ireland. EPAs describe discrete activities that are essential to a particular profession.</p> <p><strong>Methods</strong>. Self-report survey data were collected from doctors in the Republic of Ireland during their first year of clinical practice at four different time points during 2020/21.</p> <p><strong>Results</strong>. Response rates to the survey varied from 73.3% (126/172) at Time 1 to 25.6% (44/172) at Time 4. After 3 months, the respondents reported that they could execute all of the EPAs, inclusive of 12 essential procedural skills, with indirect supervision. As the year progressed there was an increase in the proportion of respondents reporting that they performed the EPAs at least once a week. However, the proportion of respondents performing five of the essential procedural skills (e.g. nasogastric tube insertion) remained low across all time points.</p> <p><strong>Conclusion</strong>. Consideration should be given as to how to better prepare medical students to execute these EPAs, how the interns can be better supported during the first quarter of internship. The findings from this research are positive. However, there is an urgent need to carry out formal assessments of entrustability, rather than relying on self-report.</p>
