Annual primary productivity of Spartina alterniflora in control and fertilized plots at Law's Point, Rowley River, Plum Island Ecosystem LTER, MA, 1999-2025.
Annual productivity is estimated from aboveground biomass in Spartina alterniflora-dominated salt marsh plots on the Rowley River within the Plum Island Ecosystems (PIE) LTER site. Aboveground biomass is determined non-destructively.
Plant heights at control and fertilized plots in a Spartina alterniflora-dominated marsh, Law's Point, Rowley River, Plum Island Ecosystem LTER, MA (1999-2025).
Plant heights are measured during the growing season in permanent plots at a Spartina alterniflora-dominated salt marsh on the Rowley River within the Plum Island Ecosystems (PIE) LTER site. Plant heights are converted to plant weight using an algorithm to generate a non-destructive estimate of aboveground plant biomass.
May to July 2018 ground control points GPS coordinates of tidal marsh and tidal forest plant species to be used as ground control points in habitat mapping.
We collected field data from sites distributed in habitats along the salinity axis of the Altamaha River estuary and the Duplin River to be used as ground control points (GCP) and ground reference data for habitat mapping. GCPs for tidal marsh (salt, brackish, tidal fresh) and tidal fresh forest vegetation species were acquired. A real time kinematic (RTK) GPS survey of GPS coordinates and ground elevations for tidal marsh vegetation was carried out in May of June of 2018. A handheld GPS was used to collect GPS coordinates for tidal forest plant species in July of 2018. A total of 101 GCPs were collected in tidal habitats, with 26 in salt, 28 in brackish and 29 in tidal fresh marsh, and another 18 in tidal fresh forest. These observations will be used to create habitat maps from aerial photographs of the Altamaha River estuary, GA taken following Hurricane Irma to better understand how the storm surge affected tidal vegetation and to examine any shifts in vegetation type.

Intuitive 3D Control of a Quadrotor in User Proximity with Pointing Gestures (Dataset)

The accompanying dataset and code for the ICRA 2020 publication:

B. Gromov, J. Guzzi, L. Gambardella, and A. Giusti, "Intuitive 3D Control of a Quadrotor in User Proximity with Pointing Gestures," in 2020 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (ICRA), 2020.

The dataset contains a log of user actions and states of the system collected during the user study. The subjects had to fly a nano quadcopter (Bitcraze Crazyflie 2.0) between three targets placed at different heights by using a conventional joystick interface (Logitech F710) and pointing. The pointing is reconstructed using an inertial sensor (mbientlab MetaWearR+) placed on the user's wrist.

A short description of the files is written in readme.txt

The dataset contains:

QCLAS methane measurement

Active AirCore methane measurement

Meteorology files

BRAIN Journal-Evolving Spiking Neural Networks for Control of Artificial Creatures-Figure 11. Crossover with two cut points

Then next generation are produced by combination of the elites (15%), crossover (55%) and mutation (30%) of the initial population. Elites are the best chromosomes which are directly transferred to the next generation. Because of long chromosome length, for crossover, five points are randomly chosen in each parent as cut points. Figure 11 shows a typical crossover with two cut points and Figure 12 illustrates a flowchart for the proposed evolutionary model. Selections are based on Roulette Wheel selection, more detailed information can be found in.

Muscle activity, ground reaction forces and pointing performance during postural control tasks in healthy adults

To investigate the muscle coordination during postural control, we recorded muscle activity and postural dynamics in healthy human adults. Fourteen participants performed postural tasks in which postural stability and pointing behaviour was varied. The data set contains electromyography of 36 muscles distributed across the body and ground reaction forces recorded during postural control tasks. A full factorial design was used. Stability was either not challenged or challenged in the anterior-posterior or medial-lateral direction. In addition, participants were asked to either relax their arms or to perform an unimanual or a bimanual pointing task. In the pointing task, participants held a laser pointer and pointed it on a target in front of them. Pointing performance was recorded using a video recording of the laser beam on the target area.

InformationData.pdf – Description of data acquisition and file structure
EMG.zip – EMG data
FP.zip – Force plate data
Video.zip – Video feed
