Marcas de projetos gerenciados em podcast
<p>O objeto de estudo se trata de um podcast acadêmico lançado oficialmente no mês de agosto de 2019 como produção técnica de uma dissertação de mestrado defendida em 2018, posteriormente incorporado à rotina de atividades do setor de atendimento de uma biblioteca universitária na perspectiva da Gestão de Projetos. A etapa de testes da produção do podcast data, portanto, do ano de 2018, na época hospedado na plataforma SoundCloud. Porém, no ano de 2019, a plataforma PodCloud foi a escolhida para a hospedagem do conteúdo, em virtude da relação custo-benefício, e permitiu a administração do podcast até julho de 2023, quando foi descontinuada no Brasil.</p><p>Diante desse cenário de mudanças, houve a necessidade de realização de uma nova pesquisa por plataformas de áudio que atendessem aos requisitos de custo-benefício e distribuição efetiva do conteúdo nos principais agregadores de podcast, tais como: Amazon Music, Apple Podcasts, Castbox, Deezer, Google Podcasts, Listen Notes, Pocket Casts, Podcast Addict, Podchaser, Spotify, TuneIn, YouTube Music, dentre outros. Assim, entre os meses de maio e julho de 2023, realizaram-se testes em cinco plataformas de hospedagem, a saber: Blubrry, PodBean, Podcastics, Podomatic e Spotify for Podcasters. Destas, a tomada de decisão deu-se pela terceira, na qual ocorreram a migração do feed RSS, considerado o link de identidade única do podcast, a retroalimentação do conteúdo, o monitoramento da distribuição do conteúdo nos agregadores de podcast e a posterior mudança de nome do projeto na podosfera, cuja transição da marca será apresentada em artigo científico.</p>
Metodologia de pesquisa para estudos com podcast em Biblioteconomia e Ciência da Informação
<p><span>Dados utilizados na proposta de artigo que apresenta o método de pesquisa intitulado <em>Podcast Ethnography,</em> traduzido para o português como Etnografia na Podosfera, partindo da seguinte questão norteadora: De que maneira definir uma metodologia de pesquisa científica pautada nas bases conceituais e nas aplicabilidades da podosfera? Como objetivo geral, discute-se a Etnografia na Podosfera como método de pesquisa e como base metodológica para o uso de técnicas e instrumentos de coleta e análise de dados oriundos de agregadores de <em>podcast</em>, tendo como resultado a proposta de um roteiro de pesquisa para estudos com <em>podcast</em> nas áreas de Biblioteconomia e Ciência da Informação. Como referencial teórico, analisa-se o <em>podcast</em> à luz de suas características como documento sonoro, que formam coleções digitais de áudio no ambiente virtual da chamado podosfera. Visando subsidiar a aplicabilidade do método etnográfico na podosfera, propõem-se instrumentos, estratégias e técnicas para coleta e análise de dados oriundos de agregadores de <em>podcasts</em>. Nesse sentido, apresentam-se metadados, campos e questões abertas para a construção de formulários de pesquisa, além de recursos e ferramentas para a criação de diário de campo eletrônico e para a organização de cronograma de pesquisa. Na finalidade de analisar o conteúdo dos episódios em <em>podcast</em>, apresentam-se a transcrição de áudio, a definição de minutagem e a categorização por assunto como estratégias para a discussão dos resultados obtidos por meio da Etnografia na Podosfera. Conclui-se que os <em><span>podcasts </span></em><span>têm contribuído para a divulgação científica na medida em que se tornaram objeto de estudo para pesquisadores e bibliotecários.</span></span></p>
MERICS China Podcast: The dangerous waters of the South China Sea, with Helena Legarda
<p>German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius' trip to the Asia-Pacific region in recent days shows that the region is becoming increasingly important for Germany and Europe. The trip took place against the backdrop of growing tensions in the region, particularly in the South China Sea. Beijing’s claims in the waters are far reaching and cover nearly 90 percent of the area. This claim is mostly based on its use in history by Chinese fishermen – and not supported by international law. Other countries bordering the South China Sea, like Brunei, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan and Vietnam, also lay claim to parts of the same area.</p> <p>The waters of the South China Sea are vitally important for international trade and rich in natural resources – oil and gas fields are suspected to lie underground – and fishing grounds. Yet, the failure to find a mode of cooperation has precluded the extraction of resources and put in question the safety of the region for commercial shipping.</p> <p>In this episode of our MERICS China Podcast, MERICS Lead Analyst<strong> Helena Legarda</strong> and podcast host <strong>Johannes Heller-John</strong> talk about recent developments in the region. MERICS China Podcast: The upcoming EU-China Summit, with Abigaël Vasselier
<p>The EU-China Summit on December 7-8 in Beijing will see EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President Charles Michel meet Chinese President Xi Jinping, while Premier Li Qiang is expected to chair. It is the first summit in this format held in person in four years. It takes place in a difficult geopolitical environment where China's relations with the EU as well as the US are marred by thorny issues like the Russian invasion of Ukraine, tensions over Taiwan, and disagreements about market access.</p><p>What issues are likely to be on the agenda? What outcomes can we expect? And what is on the table in EU-China relations in 2024? To discuss these questions, <strong>Claudia Wessling</strong> is joined by <strong>Abigaël Vasselier</strong>, Director Policy & European Affairs and Head of Program of the MERICS research team on China's Foreign Relations. <p>In this episode, Prof. Emanuele De Luca discusses the spectacle of fireworks in the eighteenth century by focusing on the activity of the Ruggieri brothers.<br><strong>Emanuele De Luca</strong> is a lecturer in theatre studies at Côte d’Azur university specialising in 17th and 18th century literature and theatre. His research focuses on the following: the history and repertoire of the Paris Comédie-Italienne; Italian actor/playwrights in France and Europe; French, Italian and European theory concerning the history, poetry and aesthetics of theatrical practices (acting, dance, pantomime, song, music, decor and lighting). At the 2016 international symposium titled <em>La Comédie-Italienne de Paris</em> (1716-1780), <em>Colloque du tricentenaire</em>, Emanuele helped the CMBV create a historically informed stage production called <em>Une Soirée à la Comédie-Italienne de Paris – Théâtre, musique et danse à l’Hôtel de Bourgogne au début du XVIII</em><em><sup>e </sup></em><em>siècle</em>. SPECTACLE Podcasts - Episode 2: La caducità del costume, an interview with Petra Dotlačilová
<p>In this episode, Dr. Petra Dotlačilová explores the methodology she applies to investigate the material and ephemeral nature of costumes in the eighteenth century.<br><strong>Petra Dotlačilová</strong> holds a PhD in Dance Studies from the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (2016), and a PhD in Theatre Studies from Stockholm University (2020). She specializes in dance history and theatrical costume in Europe from 16<sup>th</sup> to 18<sup>th</sup> century. Particularly, she explores aesthetic and material properties of costumes, international transfers in design and relations between garments and movement practices. She participated in the research projects <a href="http://performingpremodernity.com/">Performing Premodernity</a> at the Stockholm University and <a href="http://research.uni-leipzig.de/havewa/en/index.php">Ritual Design for the Ballet Stage</a> at Leipzig University. Within these projects, she organized several workshops and collaborated at costume-making for historically informed performances of <em>Pygmalion </em>(2015, Český Krumlov, Stockholm), and <em>Le Devin du village</em> (2019, Stockholm). <p>Art historian Meredith Martin presents the research project she is conducting with her colleague Noémie Etienne on slavery and the Black Atlantic.<br><strong>Meredith Martin</strong> is Professor of art history at New York University and a founding editor of <em>Journal18</em>. A specialist in early modern French art, she is the co-author, with Gillian Weiss, of <em>The Sun King at Sea: Maritime Art and Gallery Slavery in Louis XIV’s France</em><em> </em>(2022), which won the David F. Pinkney prize from the Society for French Historical Studies and was published in French by Éditions de l’EHESS. Martin is also the author of <em>Dairy Queens: The Politics of Pastoral Architecture from Catherine de’ Medici to Marie-Antoinette</em> (2011), and a co-author of <em>Meltdown: Picturing the World’s First Bubble Economy </em>(2020). She explains how her reserach is presented to contemporary audiences and in a wide range of locations.<br><strong>Christine Jeanneret</strong> is a musicologist, specializing in early modern music, historical sound studies, gender studies, cultural exchanges and music performance. She is associate professor at the Centre for Privacy Studies at the University of Copenhagen and is currently the PI of <em>SOUND</em>, an innovative research project aiming at listening, hearing and reconstructing the soundscapes of the Danish court. She was awarded Queen Margrethe II’s Rome prize in 2017 for her outstanding research. In 2018-2020, she worked at the Centre de recherche du château de Versailles. MERICS China Podcast: Europe's resilience vis-à-vis China, with Grzegorz Stec and Helena Legarda
<p>Building resilience, i.e., the ability to manage risks without compromising long-term development, is at the heart of Europe’s adjustment of its China policy. To contribute to this process, we recently launched the <a href="https://merics.org/en/report/europe-china-resilience-audit-insights-advancing-eu-resilience">MERICS Europe-China Resilience Audit</a>, which is based on a database of 98 indicators for the economy, security, politics and society. The analysis confirms some significant differences between the eleven countries studied in terms of vulnerability and progress in measures to strengthen resilience towards China. They include a 10 trillion yuan local government debt restructuring package.</p> <p>To shed light on the blatant levels of local government indebtedness, <strong>Claudia Wessling</strong>, Director Communications and Publications at MERICS, talks to <strong>Victor Shih</strong> and <strong>Max Zenglein</strong> in this episode of the MERICS China Podcast. Victor is a professor of political science, director of the 21st Century China Center at the School of Global Policy and Strategy and the Ho Miu Lam Chair in China and Pacific Relations at UC San Diego. Max is the Chief Economist at MERICS and the driving force behind the Economic Indicators, a quarterly series of analyses for MERICS members that puts China’s economic statistics into context. </p>
