Invasion Biology WikiProject Scientific Papers: Text Data Mining and LLM-based Information Extraction of Species, Locations, Habitats, and Ecosystems
<p>This dataset contains the abstract and full-text for publication DOIs from the Invasion Biology WikiProject (DOI: <a href="https://www.doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.12518036">10.5281/zenodo.12518036</a>). The data was retrieved using the <a href="https://ask.orkg.org/">ask.orkg.org</a> <a href="https://api.ask.orkg.org/docs#tag/Semantic-Neural-Search/operation/explore_documents_index_explore_get">API</a>. The Open Review–Based (ORB) dataset: Towards Automatic Assessment of Scientific Papers and Experiment Proposals in High–Energy Physics
<p>We introduce the new comprehensive Open Review–Based dataset (ORB); it includes a curated list of more than 62,000 scientific papers, publications and submitted preprints with their more than 157,000 reviews and final decisions. We gather this information from three peer-reviewed sources: the OpenReview.net, SciPost.org and PeerJ.com websites.</p>

Datasets and results of the paper titled "Are citation networks relevant to explain academic promotions? An empirical analysis of the Italian national scientific qualification"
<p>These are the <strong>input datasets</strong> and the <strong>results of the analyses</strong> reported on the paper titled <strong>"Are citation networks relevant to explain academic promotions? An empirical analysis of the Italian national scientific qualification"</strong>.</p> <p><strong>Abstract:</strong> </p> <p>The aim of this paper is to study the role of citation network measures in the assessment of scientific maturity. Referring to the case of the Italian national scientific qualification (ASN), we investigate if there is a relationship between citation network indices and the results of the researchers’ evaluation procedures. In particular, we want to understand if network measures can enhance the prediction accuracy of the results of the evaluation procedures beyond basic performance indices. Moreover, we want to highlight which citation network indices prove to be more relevant in explaining the ASN results, and if quantitative indices used in the citation-based disciplines assessment can replace the citation network measures in non-citation-based disciplines. Data concerning Statistics and Computer Science disciplines are collected from different sources (ASN, Italian Ministry of University and Research, and Scopus) and processed in order to calculate the citation-based measures used in this study. Following, we apply classification models to estimate the effects of network variables. We find that network measures are strongly related to the results of the ASN and significantly improve the explanatory power of the models, especially for the research fields of Statistics. Additionally, citation networks in the specific sub-disciplines are far more relevant than those in the general disciplines. Analysis of shared research data in Spanish scientific papers about COVID-19: a first approach
<p><strong>Introduction:</strong> During the coronavirus pandemic, changes in the way science is done and shared occurred, which motivates meta-research to help understand science communication in crises and improve its effectiveness. <strong>Objective: </strong>To study how many Spanish scientific papers on COVID-19 published during 2020 share their research data. <strong>Methodology:</strong> Qualitative and descriptive study applying nine attributes: (1) availability, (2) accessibility, (3) format, (4) licensing, (5) linkage, (6) funding, (7) editorial policy, (8) content and (9) statistics. <strong>Results:</strong> We analyzed 1340 papers, 1173 (87.5%) did not have research data. 12.5% share their research data of which 2.1% share their data in repositories, 5% share their data through a simple request, 0.2% do not have permission to share their data and 5.2% share their data as supplementary material. <strong>Conclusions:</strong> There is a small percentage that shares their research data, however it demonstrates the researchers' poor knowledge on how to properly share their research data and their lack of knowledge on what is research data.</p>
