FIGURE 2 in Further studies on south eastern Asian Luciolinae: 1. Sclerotia Ballantyne, a new genus of fireflies with back swimming larvae 2. Triangulara Pimpasalee, a new genus from Thailand (Coleoptera: Lampyridae)
FIGURE 2. The fourth of six sections of MPT 1 of 562 MPT of length 5687 from phylogenetic analysis of 145 taxa and 438 morphological characters in Ballantyne et al. (2015, Fig. 2D) with unambiguous changes on the branches. The unambiguous character state changes are mapped with synapomorphies (shared derived states of informative characters with CI=1) indicated in black squares. Inset indicates, in black, the position of this part (D) on the whole MPT. The phylogenetic analysis provides strong support for the description of the new genera Sclerotia Ballantyne gen. nov. and Triangulara Pimpasalee gen. nov. with clear separation from Luciola sensu stricto and from the remaining Luciolinae including Abscondita and Pygoluciola, and the Atyphella complex.
