Habitats of Phrynobatrachus horsti sp. nov. a & b) a logging site within a section of degraded gallery forest, Republic of the Congo, Kouilou Department, 5.5 km NW of Mandingo-Kayes and 1.3 km SE of Koani village (04°23'33.1'' S, 11°40'16.0'' E). Phrynobatrachus horsti sp. nov. was calling from a small muddy pool under a tree stump; c & d) forest sites 5.5 km NW of Mandingo-Kayes (04°23'26.1'' S, 11°40'26.0'' E). Here Phrynobatrachus horsti sp. nov. was collected in pitfall and funnel traps placed in the gallery forest next to the Yombo River.
