Sprenger, Catal., p. 462.</p> <p>Beginning of the preface: جواهر زواهر سپاس بى قياس نثار حضرت صمديّت جلّ قدرته الخ.</p> <p>The first verse, explained, is the usual initial one: دل من پير تعليمست الخ, on fol. 90<sup>b</sup>, bottom. A small blank on fol. 258<sup>b</sup>.</p> <p>Dated (by the hand) in Dhû-alḳa’dah, A.H. 995 (A.D. 1587, October). Other commentaries on Khâḳânî’s dîwân are described in Rieu ii. 562 (by ‘Alawî Lâhijî in Jahângîr’s time); W. Pertsch, Berlin Cat., p. 770, and G. Flügel i. p. 509 (by ‘Abd-alwahhâb bin Maḥmûd al-Ḥasanî al-Ḥusainî al-Ma’mûrî, with the takhalluṣ Ghanâ’î, who flourished about A.H. 1090=A.D. 1679, and whose commentary seems to have the special title of محبّت نامه); and A. He also wrote a commentary on Khâḳânî’s poems, see Nos. 968-970 below.
