<p>This dataset contains the phantom measurement data used in the published article Iyyakkunnel et al., 'Complex B1+ mapping with Carr-Purcell spin echoes and its application to electrical properties tomography', Magn Reson Med. 2022;87:1250–1260 (doi: 10.1002/mrm.29020). The acquisitions were made with a 3 T MRI system (Magnetom Prisma; Siemens Healthcare, Erlangen, Germany) using the body coil for transmission and the a 20-channel head and neck coil for reception. Phase images from multichannel coil data were reconstructed using the manufacturer’s “adaptive coil combine” method. Magnitude measurements for B1 reconstruction using actucal flip angle imaging (AFI) is also included. Phantom scans were also performed with a 1H/23Na transmit/receive birdcage coil (RAPID Biomedical, Rimpar, Germany) for the Supporting Information Figure S1. The data includes the magnitude and phase measurements for the suggested Carr Purcell spin echo sequence with 10 echoes (in dicom (.dcm) format). Data from: A hierarchical model for external electrical control of an insect, accounting for inter-individual variation of muscle force properties
<p>Cyborg control of insect movement is promising for developing miniature, high-mobility, and efficient biohybrid robots. However, considering the inter-individual variation of the insect neuromuscular apparatus and its neural control is challenging. We propose a hierarchical model including inter-individual variation of muscle properties of three leg muscles 14 involved in propulsion (retractor coxae), joint stiffness (pro- and retractor coxae), and stance-swing transition (protractor coxae and levator trochanteris) in the stick insect Carausius morosus. To estimate mechanical effects induced by external muscle stimulation, the model is based on the systematic evaluation of joint torques as functions of electrical stimulation parameters. A nearly linear relationship between the stimulus burst duration and generated torque was observed. This stimulus-torque characteristic holds for burst durations of up to 500ms, corresponding to the stance and swing phase durations of medium to fast walking stick insects. Hierarchical Bayesian modeling revealed that linearity of the stimulus-torque characteristic was invariant, with individually varying slopes. Individual prediction of joint torques provides significant benefits for precise cyborg control.</p>

Data from: Acoustic and electrical properties of Fe-Ti oxides with application to the deep lunar mantle
<p>The overturn of titanium-rich mantle cumulates has been invoked to explain the structure and dynamics of the Moon. These dense cumulates are stable at the core-mantle boundary (CMB) and could explain field anomalies inferred from geophysical studies. We report the first acoustic and electrical experiments on natural ilmenite-rutile aggregates up to 4.5 GPa and 1920 K. Seismic velocities show a weak pressure and temperature dependence, with Vs ~4.2 (+/-0.2) km/s and Vp ~ 8.0 (+/-0.2) km/s at the CMB conditions. Conductivity increases by a factor > 104 over 373-1920 K and is >103 S/m above 1573 K. Seismic and electrical mixing models of Fe-Ti oxides - olivine rocks based on our results indicate that field velocity and conductivity estimates are reproduced satisfactorily with 3-16% Fe-Ti oxides and 20% melt. Interactions between this Ti-rich and melt-bearing layer and the adjacent core likely affect the cooling and magnetic history of the Moon.</p>
