You will serve as a OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST in the FORCE READINESS ANALYTICS GROUP of COMMANDER NAVAL AIR PACIFIC.
Responsibilities
- You will conduct comprehensive cost analyses to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- You will advance the organization's cost and supply management efforts, enhancing efficiency.
- You will develop and implement cost optimization strategies and initiatives.
- You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the cost analytics team, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and priorities.
- You will develop and present detailed reports, charts, tables, and presentations to summarize research findings and support strategic decisions across the Naval Aviation Enterprise.
- You will develop new procedures, techniques, or theoretical frameworks to provide rigorous scientific bases for conclusions.
- You will conduct research, trend analysis, and statistical reporting to inform and shape policy recommendations.
Education
Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess Degree in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus. Courses acceptable for qualifying for operations research positions may have been taken in departments other than Operations Research, e.g., Engineering (usually Industrial Engineering), Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or Management Science.
