The primary purpose of this position is to provide program management of one or more Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regions and/or DoD Regional Office for regular Air Force (AF), Air National Guard (ANG), and Air Force Reserve (AFRES) environmental programs within the United States.
Responsibilities
- 1. Serves as an Air Force and/or DoD Regional Environmental Coordinator for environmental/encroachment programs with federal, regional, and state agencies in assigned EPA Federal Regions/states. 2. Ensures that Air Force environmental leadership is kept informed of significant regional and state regulatory trends and issues through the establishment and maintenance of a customer-oriented service relationship with all customers to include SAF/IEE, USAF/A4C, AFCEC, MAJCOMs, EPA Regional Offices, and other appropriate state and local/regional agencies and authorities. 3. As a key member of the AFCEC management team, incumbent is responsible for resolving problems, ensuring customer needs and expectations are achieved, and rendering sound management decisions.
