You will serve as a Science Advisor in the Office of Naval Research Gloabl.
Responsibilities
- You will advise the Commander and staff on technical developments relating to the future of naval warfare including providing expert advice regarding the plausibility of science and technology maturation.
- You will identify operational technology needs that are relevant to major joint, Navy, or Marine Corps command.
- You will assist and advise the host Commander and staff in the identification of Warfighting Capability Gaps that have a critical impact on combat readiness.
- You will identify potential improvements to existing equipment or the development of new concepts, including command ship technologies and their integration, C4I systems; integrated air and missile defense, long range maritime fires
- You will monitor current programs being conducted for tactical and data gathering purposes under the cognizance of the Commander and advise the military staff on the adequacy of scientific talent assigned to each program.
