It is wrongly ascribed here to Molla Ḳuṭb al-dîn (the author of the following work). The real author is not ascertained.</p> <p>The text and commentary are distinguished by قال and اقول , and the former is fully given in the earlier portion. There is no preface to this commentary. Kh. alludes, begins here:</p> <p>هذا آخر ما يتعلق بقسم المنطق من هذا الكتاب‘ و حل ما فيه من المباحث و الابواب ‘ و قد بقى قسم الكلام منه متواريا بالحجاب‘ فلو وجدت نسخة من الخ.<sup> 1</sup></p> <p>Written chiefly in a clear Naskh, towards the end of the tenth century,<sup>2</sup> with marginal notes. Scribe, ‘Abd al-mu’min. The author states in a marginal note that the الآداب الرشيدية, the commentary mentioned also in the epilogue of the preceding no., is the work of ‘Abd al-rashîd Jaunfûri—الفها مولانا ... عبدالرشيد الجونفورى مدّ الله ظله.</p> <p>Written in Shikastah, with marginal additions by the author(منه).</p> <p>The last few pages (foll. 46<em>v</em>.-48) are filled with the following texts.</p> <p>1.A short treatise on Dialectics , by ‘AḌUD AL-DÎN ÎJÎ (d. AḤMAD.</p> <p>Begins:عز من على اعلام كبريائه .... و بعد فيقول احوج العبيد .. ابوالحسن بن احمد ختم الله له بالحسنى لمّا تاملت فى مباحث الوجود العلمى و الظهور الذهنى الخ.</p> <p>It consists of an introductory لمعة and two اشراق.</p> <p>In the first of the latter (fol. 3<em>v</em>.) the author mentions nine difficult questions, which bad been unsatisfactorily discussed by preceding philosophers; and in the second (fol. 6) he undertakes to ascertain the truth regarding them.</p> <p>Well written in two Nasta’lîḳ hands. Dated 1st Muḥarram, 1013 (?).<sup>1</sup> Injured by insects.</p> <p>This MS. was made a وقف , for the use of students, by its owner, Mu’îzz al-dîn Muḥammad Tustarî, commonly called ملا حلقى, the famous Malik ‘Anbar being witness thereto.</p> <p>This appears from a note on the title-page, which seems to be written by Malik ’Anbar himself.</p> <p>Erroneously inscribed حاشيه ملا مرزاجان بر شرح مطالع ; cf.
