ConductCognition tests
This plan includes all 297 tests in 8 domains.
- Processing speed (opens in a new tab)
- Attention (opens in a new tab)
- Working memory (opens in a new tab)
- Executive function (opens in a new tab)
- Episodic memory (opens in a new tab)
- Response inhibition (opens in a new tab)
- Social cognition (opens in a new tab)
- Language (opens in a new tab)
The Commercial Research plan is for biotech, pharma, contract research organizations and other company-funded research. Each of the 3 researchers has a seat and runs their own studies. The tests measure processing speed, attention, working memory, executive function, episodic memory, response inhibition, social cognition and language. Participants take them in a web browser, at home or on a study computer. You get scores and trial-level data for your own analysis.
Commercial pricing covers work a company sponsors, work that supports product development or a regulatory submission, and work whose publication a for-profit sponsor restricts. Independently funded academic work can use the academic plans.
How It Works
Each researcher builds a study from tests, instructions and breaks, then gives each participant a private link with a random code. Participants have no accounts or passwords and never see the researcher dashboard. Demographic questions on age, sex, education and handedness are optional. Before the first test, the app checks the browser, screen, fullscreen and input. It stops a session that cannot run the tests as designed.
Each test is scored on the server when it ends. The Study Quality Monitor marks each session valid, needs review or invalid and gives the reason. Each study shows how many sessions got each mark. Every export records the test version, the settings and the scoring version.

Practical Tips
Open the Study Quality Monitor after your first few sessions.
Why: You can fix a problem in the study before more participants run into it.
Run a pilot and load its exports into your analysis before launch.
Why: You confirm the export formats work for you before a live cohort depends on them.
Name the device participants need in your recruitment text.
Why: A participant on the wrong device stops at the device check.
Have a native speaker read the machine-translated text before launch.
Why: Languages other than English use machine translation.
Keep your own exported copies of critical datasets.
Why: Deleted study data cannot be recovered.
Setup Guide
Compliance
What evidence is there for each test?
Each test has an evidence grade, built from papers that name the test, papers on its reliability and registered clinical studies that use it as an outcome. The counts are at https://conductcognition.com/cognitive-tests/use-and-evidence.
What counts as one participant?
One participant is one person in one study, however many tests that study runs. The same person in another study or at another timepoint counts again.
What do participants need?
Participants need Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, and they install nothing. Timed tests need a desktop or laptop with a mouse or trackpad. Some untimed tests also run on tablets and phones.
How are response times collected?
Participants answer with keyboard keys or mouse clicks, in full screen, so every participant's times come from the same kind of setup. Some tests set brief displays in whole numbers of screen frames at the measured refresh rate and flag dropped frames. Every response is saved as it happens.
Can I recruit through an outside service?
Yes. Each study can share one open link with Prolific, Sona Systems, CloudResearch Connect or Qualtrics. The setup guides are at https://conductcognition.com/integrations.
Can I use my own consent process?
Yes. Each study shows a consent screen by default. You can turn it off when your team obtains consent another way.
Who owns the study data?
Researchers own the study data they create. The study owner can delete all of a study's data at any time from the study page.
Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. Every account gets 10 free participants to use on any test. Building studies, previews and practice runs are free.
Can you build a test you do not have?
Yes. Tell us what you need, and we reply with an estimate of the cost and the time before any work starts.
What support comes with the license?
The one-year license includes support for account, study and license troubleshooting.
Does the plan renew by itself?
No. This is a fixed one-year license. It ends one year after you pay, and we do not charge you again. To keep going, buy another year.
Can I cancel an order?
Orders cannot be changed or canceled once processing begins, unless we agree otherwise in writing or the law requires it. The full terms are at https://conductscience.com/returns-and-refunds.
How can I pay?
You can pay by card at checkout. To pay by purchase order or invoice, use Request a Quote on this page.
