40-Cage Single-Sided IVU Breeding System

This single-sided IVU breeding system uses a larger mouse cage format within a soft-film micro-barrier. It is intended for approved breeding and colony-maintenance programs that need clear access for animal checks, pairing or separation decisions, litter observation, feed and water service, cage changes, and records. The equipment supports the workflow, while the institution determines stocking, breeding practice, welfare checks, and protocol requirements.

The rack measures 1820 × 500 × 2100 mm and provides 40 cage positions across 10 levels with 4 cages per level. Each polysulfone breeding cage measures 390 × 370 × 130 mm. A 250 mL water bottle and plastic record card are documented husbandry components. The system uses centralized supply and exhaust and a PU sealed zipper for access through the soft-film boundary. Automatic watering can be configured when it fits the approved care plan.

The single-sided arrangement can support wall placement and one-face care rounds. Staff still need enough front clearance to open the enclosure, remove and support the larger cages, observe animals, update records, and move clean and used materials.
