The Dry Bath Incubator BJPX-DB Series provides precise temperature control for small volume sample incubation in research and laboratory environments. This benchtop instrument utilizes PID microprocessor control to maintain temperatures from ambient +5°C to 160°C with ±0.5°C accuracy at 40°C. Available in single-block (BJPX-DB2) and dual-block (BJPX-DB4) configurations, the system accommodates various tube formats through interchangeable heating blocks.

The unit features programmable timing from 1-9999 minutes or continuous operation, with rapid heating performance reaching 130°C from 30°C in ≤20 minutes. The compact 310×220×190mm footprint fits standard laboratory benches while providing uniform heat distribution (±1.0°C at 40°C) across the heating block surface. Digital temperature display with 0.1°C resolution enables precise monitoring of incubation conditions for temperature-sensitive protocols.

How It Works

The dry bath incubator operates through direct conductive heating using machined aluminum heating blocks that provide uniform thermal contact with sample tubes. The PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative) microprocessor controller continuously monitors block temperature via integrated sensors and adjusts heating element power to maintain precise setpoint temperatures. This feedback control system compensates for thermal loads and ambient variations to achieve ±0.5°C accuracy.

Heat transfer occurs through direct conduction from the aluminum block to sample containers, eliminating the need for water baths or circulating fluids. The block design ensures uniform temperature distribution across all tube positions, with thermal uniformity of ±1.0°C at 40°C. Interchangeable blocks accommodate different tube formats while maintaining consistent thermal performance across the temperature range.
