The Peracetic Acid Test Strip provides rapid colorimetric quantification of peracetic acid concentrations in aqueous solutions. Based on the oxidation of N,N-diethyl-phenylenediamine through an intermediate reaction with potassium iodide, these strips produce a pink-magenta color intensity proportional to peracetic acid concentration. The reaction specifically targets peracetic acid while minimizing interference from hydrogen peroxide, which commonly coexists in commercial peracetic acid solutions.
The test strip measures concentrations across a range of 0-0.5-2-5-10-20-40 mg/L, covering typical operational concentrations for water disinfection, surface sanitization, and equipment sterilization applications. Simple operation requires only sample immersion and visual color comparison, with reliable measuring results achieved through standardized colorimetric chemistry. The compact design facilitates field testing and routine monitoring where laboratory analysis is impractical.
