Precision Brain Targeting for Canine & Primate Neuroscience
The LHS1328 Large Animal Stereotaxic Locator is an important research device for neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, neuropharmacology, and neurosurgery. It can be used for brain localization before experiments including intracranial electrical stimulation, cellular electrical activity recording, micro-injection drug delivery, and targeted tissue ablation. It supports animal models of Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, and brain tumors, as well as research on learning and memory, intracranial neural stem cell transplantation, and cerebral ischemia.
Designed for use with dogs and non-human primates, the LHS1328 features smooth operation, precise movement, and robust stability.
Key Features
- 200 mm AP-axis travel; 80 mm ML and DV axis range — consistent with standard brain atlases
- Modular head restraints and ear rods in large and small sizes for different animal species and sizes
- Compatible with electrodes, injection needles, guide cannulas, and optical fiber clamps
- Supports up to 4 ML/DV axis manipulator arms for multi-site experiments
- Full-length guided three-dimensional arm with concentric orientation transmission for consistent accuracy
- One-click coordinate reset to reference point for convenient operation
- Single 1.5V AA battery — zero electronic interference, ideal for electrophysiology environments
- ML and DV axes rotate 360° horizontally and 180° fore-aft, lockable at any angle
- D/V axis backward indicator prevents accidental misoperation
- Patented screw and rolling drive mechanism maintains long-term coordinate stability
- Standard kit: U-shaped double rail base, AP axis slide rail, adapter, ear bars, manipulator arms, clamp
Digital Display System
The digital display variant adds a three-axis digital readout unit with 0.01 mm (10 μm) real-time resolution. A single CLR button zeros each axis at the reference point — eliminating manual coordinate reading and calculation. Sensor cables connect to color-coded rear sockets on the display unit and are powered independently from the main frame.
