What pump heads are compatible with the BT100-2J?
The BT100-2J supports YZ1515, YZ2515, and DG-series pump heads. YZ1515 handles tubing sizes 13#–18# across two channels, YZ2515 runs 15# or 24# tubing across two channels, and DG heads (6- or 10-roller) accept 3.17 mm ID tubing for up to 12 channels. This lets you match flow rate and channel count to the application.
Can the BT100-2J be controlled externally?
Yes. The pump includes an RS485 interface plus dedicated start/stop and direction control lines. With the optional external control module you can drive the speed setpoint by 0–5 V, 0–10 V, 4–20 mA, or 0–10 kHz signals, which allows integration with automation controllers, syringe-exchange sequencers, or feedback loops.
What happens if power is lost during operation?
The BT100-2J stores running parameters automatically, so after a power interruption the pump resumes with the same speed and direction settings once power is restored. This protects long-running perfusion, fermentation, and infusion protocols from having to restart from scratch.
What flow-rate range can the pump deliver?
Flow rates span 0.002 to 380 mL/min depending on tubing size and pump head. The lowest rates (microlitres per minute) use thin tubing on the YZ1515 head; the top end (380 mL/min) is reached with 18# tubing on YZ1515. Speed is adjustable from 0.1 to 100 rpm in 0.1 rpm increments, in either direction.
Is the BT100-2J suitable for cell culture and bioreactor work?
Yes. The 0.1 rpm speed resolution and reversible flow make it appropriate for perfusion, media exchange, and low-shear transfers, and the AC 90–265 V universal input fits most laboratory environments. For continuous unattended operation we recommend pairing it with the external control module so flow can be slaved to a dissolved-oxygen, level, or pH sensor.
Is a pump head included with the BT100-2J?
No. The pump head is sold separately. The most commonly paired head is the YZ1515; the YZ2515 and DG series are also compatible.
