The ConductScience Pesticide Residue Tester is a benchtop food-safety instrument designed to detect pesticide residues in fresh produce. Operating on the well-established principles of enzyme inhibition and photoelectric colorimetry, it generates quantitative transmittance readings that indicate whether residue levels fall within acceptable safety thresholds.
The tester is available in an 8-channel or 16-channel configuration, allowing laboratories and inspection stations to process multiple samples simultaneously. Compatible sample types include vegetables and fruits such as onions, garlic, fragrant-flowered garlic, carrots, and tomatoes, among others. Results are displayed on a built-in LCD screen and can be printed directly from the instrument via its integrated print function.
With a transmittance accuracy of ≤ ±1.5% and repeatability of ≤ 0.5%, the system delivers consistent, reproducible measurements suited to routine food-safety screening. A network interface supports connectivity for data management. The compact footprint (38 cm × 30 cm × 17 cm) makes it practical for quality-control labs, agricultural testing centers, and produce inspection facilities where bench space is at a premium.

What types of produce can this tester screen for pesticide residues?
The instrument is designed to test a range of vegetables and fruits, including onions, garlic, fragrant-flowered garlic, carrots, and tomatoes. It is suitable for general fresh-produce screening programs.
What detection principle does the tester use?
It works on two complementary principles: enzyme inhibition (which detects organophosphate and carbamate pesticides by their effect on cholinesterase activity) and photoelectric colorimetry (which measures the resulting color change as a transmittance value).
How many samples can be tested at the same time?
The instrument is available in either an 8-channel or a 16-channel version, so you can choose the configuration that matches your required throughput.
How is transmittance measurement accuracy specified?
Transmittance accuracy is rated at ≤ ±1.5%, with a repeatability of ≤ 0.5% and a linear error of ≤ 5%, ensuring reliable, consistent readings across a sample batch.
How are results recorded or shared?
Results are shown on the built-in LCD display and can be printed directly via the instrument's print function. A network interface is also included for connectivity to external data systems.
