Operating Principle

The sample is mixed with an oxidizing reagent and exposed to intense UV radiation, which converts all organic carbon to CO₂. The generated CO₂ is carried by nitrogen gas to the NDIR detector for quantification. The UV-persulfate method provides more complete oxidation than UV alone while maintaining lower background levels than high-temperature combustion, resulting in superior detection limits for clean water applications.
