The oscillating frame holds four sieve stacks and moves each one up and down through a 50 mm stroke in water. Water-stable aggregates, held together by calcium, magnesium, organic matter and fungal hyphae, keep their original structure and stay on the first sieve too fine for them to pass. Aggregates that slake apart pass down to finer sieves.
Set the oscillation frequency with the buttons and the run time with the knob; a digital display shows both.

Setup Guide
Will it run on 120 V, 60 Hz power?
No. It is built for 220 V at 50 Hz and draws up to 120 W. If your lab runs on 60 Hz, request a quote before you order and we will confirm the power options.
What comes with the analyzer?
It comes with four stainless steel sieve frames, and it takes a 10 cm or 20 cm diameter sieve set. Request a quote to confirm the sieve set and whether the cylinders, trays and sample tins in the photos are included.
How are results usually reported?
As the share of the sample's oven-dry mass retained on each sieve. Many labs also summarize the fractions as mean weight diameter (MWD).
