The CFY-3 and CFY-4 Seed Blowers are bench and floor-standing instruments designed to separate impurities, shriveled seeds, and lightweight seeds from healthy seed material using a precisely controlled airstream. By passing seeds through a regulated air column, the blower isolates clean, viable seed samples from chaff, debris, and undersized grains—an essential step in accurate seed purity analysis.
The two models address different seed size categories. The CFY-3 is built for large and medium-sized seeds such as corn, wheat, rice, soybeans, red beans, and black beans, delivering a high wind pressure of 689 Pa and a wind velocity of 31.1 m/s with a 550 W motor. It includes programmable timing (0–99.99 H) for repeatable run conditions. The CFY-4 is optimized for small and fine seeds including pasture grasses, rapeseed, sesame, flowers, small pine nuts, and leafy-vegetable seeds, operating at a lower wind pressure of 47 Pa and wind velocity of 8.5 m/s to handle delicate material without damage.
Both models operate on 220 V / 50 Hz power and are suited for seed purity testing and small-sample cleaning in breeding programs, quality-control labs, and agricultural research settings. Selecting between the two models comes down to seed size and the airflow intensity required to achieve clean separation without affecting seed integrity.

What is the difference between the CFY-3 and CFY-4, and how do I choose?
The CFY-3 is designed for large and medium-sized seeds—corn, wheat, rice, soybeans, and similar crops—and operates at 689 Pa wind pressure with a wind velocity of 31.1 m/s. The CFY-4 is designed for small and fine seeds such as rapeseed, sesame, pasture grasses, and flower seeds, and uses a gentler 47 Pa / 8.5 m/s airflow to avoid damaging light material. Choose the CFY-3 for heavier grain crops and the CFY-4 for fine or delicate seed types.
What types of seeds and crops can each model process?
The CFY-3 handles large and medium-sized seeds including corn, wheat, rice, red beans, black beans, and soybeans. The CFY-4 is suited for small seeds such as pasture grasses, flowers, sesame, rapeseed, small cabbage, small pine nuts, large-sliced celery seed, and endive.
Does the CFY-3 have a built-in timer for repeatable test runs?
Yes. The CFY-3 includes a timing function adjustable from 0 to 99.99 hours, allowing you to set consistent run durations for standardized purity tests. The CFY-4 does not include a timing feature.
What are the noise levels during operation?
The CFY-3 operates at a noise level of ≤81 dB, and the CFY-4 operates at ≤70 dB. The CFY-4's lower airflow requirements make it notably quieter, which may be a consideration for shared or enclosed lab spaces.
What power supply do these blowers require, and how much space do they need?
Both models require 220 V at 50 Hz. The CFY-3 has a footprint and height of 526 × 455 × 1686 mm and draws 550 W, so it is best suited to a dedicated floor space. The CFY-4 is more compact at 350 × 350 × 900 mm and draws 85 W, making it appropriate for benchtop placement.
