The PDMS Pre-Polymer Kit is a two-part silicone rubber: a base and a curing agent mixed 10:1 by weight. The mixed liquid has a medium viscosity and cures, thick or thin, into a clear and tough elastomer that transmits UV light above 250 nm and visible light. PDMS replicates microchannels by molding, its channel surfaces can be modified in several ways, and it bonds irreversibly to itself, glass, silicon, silica and oxidized polymers.

A common lab routine: mix the base and curing agent 10:1 by mass, degas under vacuum until the bubbles rise and burst, then cure at 120 °C for about an hour.
