A 48 V lithium battery powers the motor. You hold the sampler by its two handles while the motor turns the spiral auger into the soil. Sampling takes less effort than with a hand auger.
A depth scale marked on the outside of the auger shows how deep it has gone, so you can stop at your target depth.
The sampler comes apart for transport and storage.
Test the samples with our Soil Nutrient Tester or Rapid Test Soil pH Meter. At the same points, record compaction with our Soil Compaction Meter.

Setup Guide
How do I keep soil from one point out of the next sample?
The auger is replaceable, so swap in a clean one at each point.
Can I get an auger for a depth other than the standard 20 cm per pass?
Yes. Augers for other depths are made on request.
Does the sampler need a power outlet in the field?
No. It runs on its 48 V lithium battery.
