Episode Description
This week on The Conduct Science Podcast, join Mitch and Tom as they explore the world of electric and self-driving cars. The boys start off by explaining the scientific-filled week that the world has seen before Mitch dives into electric cars! How much of an impact do they have on the environment? Are they worth it? They discuss whether they would get an electric car and how people’s needs might evolve in our current climate. Tom then takes a look at self-driving or autonomous cars. Not a yes or no answer, they exist on a spectrum from none to full autonomy! Tom breaks down the technology that allows them to work and why Tesla and Elon Musk do not like LiDAR. They finish talking about electric and self-driving car cybersecurity, could someone hack your car? Stay tuned at the end for a big announcement! Audio: WhiteBatAudio.com
