A rodent acrylic cage is a type of enclosure designed to house small animals such as mice, and rats. These cages are made of clear acrylic plastic, which offers a clear view of the animals and their surroundings. Acrylic cages are typically more durable and easier to clean than traditional wire cages, and they also provide better insulation to regulate temperature and humidity levels. Additionally, they can also reduce the stress on the animals by providing a more natural, spacious, and visually appealing environment. Rodent acrylic cages are commonly used in laboratory and pet settings and are available in a variety of sizes and configurations to suit the needs of different species and environments.
The acrylic rabbit immobilizer, also known as a rabbit restrainer, is a device used to hold and immobilize laboratory rabbits during procedures such as injections, blood collection, and other experimental procedures. The immobilizer typically consists of an acrylic tube with a removable front and back panel, which allows the rabbit to be placed inside. Once the rabbit is inside, the panels are replaced, holding the rabbit securely in place. The immobilizer also has a handle for easy handling and moving.
The Rabbit Immobilizer is a commonly used tool in laboratory research on rabbits, as it allows for the safe and efficient handling of the animals during procedures. It is designed to minimize stress and injury to the rodent while providing easy access to the animal for the researcher. The acrylic material is also easy to clean and sterilize, which is essential for maintaining the health and well-being of the rodent and preventing contamination of the experiments.
ConductScience offers rabbit immobilizers/restrainers.
The Bowman-style rodent restrainer is a device used to hold and immobilize laboratory mice and rats during procedures such as injections, blood collection, and other experimental procedures. The restrainer typically consists of an acrylic or metal rod with a clip or clamp at one end, which is used to hold the animal’s head in place. The animal’s body is then gently held by the experimenter’s hand, allowing easy access to the rodent’s tail or other areas of the body.
Rodents can be placed by removing the upper rods and replacing them after insertion. Alternatively, they can be placed through an access porthole in the rear. The front door can be adjusted and locked into three possible positions. This door has stainless steel “spring loaded” lock. Suction cup feet on the white plastic base secure the device during use.
ConductScience offers the Bowman-style restrainer.
Broome Rodent Restrainer is one of the most convenient types of restrainer for ease of use as it allows for both hands to be used when injecting the test subject’s caudal vein. Our Broome restrainer is made up of the finest quality acrylic and comes in a variety of sizes. Choosing the right size of the restraint is vital; if the restraint is too large the animal can easily turn around, and if the restraint is too small the animal might not be able to breathe properly.

Broome rodent restrainer is a cylindrical device that is closed on one end. An open groove extends from the opening to the center of the endplate for the adjustment of the nosepiece. On the adjacent side of the open groove, a slit that runs the entire length of the tube aids to get access to the rodent’s tail.

Ferret Restrainers are constructed using optical quality clear acrylic, formed black plastic nose cone with an acetal locking slide. The restraining cylinder can be rotated as needed to provide complete access to the animal. The restrainers are mounted on a white acrylic base plate with suction cup feet to guarantee reliable stability during testing procedures.
ConductScience offer Ferret Restrainers.
Flat Bottom Restrainers are manufactured from perspex cylinders mounted on a flat black perspex base. The restrainers give access through both extremes, by opening the respective tilting door that is fixed by a screw at the upper part of the restrainer. Rodents can be immobilised by sliding the doors along the restrainer. A slot in the base of the door allows for the whole tail to be available for the pulse transducer and cuff installation, the i.v. drug administration or blood extraction.
The easy operation of the doors and its disposition on the extremes of the restrainer makes the manipulation of the animal convenient and avoids the animal to be dragged backwards, protecting it from injuries.
ConductScience offers Flat Bottom Restrainers.
Pans and trolleys are specialized products designed for the housing and transportation of guinea pigs. Pans are shallow containers or trays that are used as flooring for guinea pig cages, typically made of metal, plastic, or other durable materials. They are designed to be easy to clean and replace, and can also provide added comfort for the guinea pigs.
Trolleys are carts or platforms that are designed to allow the cage and guinea pigs to be easily moved from one location to another. They may have wheels for easy mobility and can sometimes be collapsible for storage. Trolleys are commonly used for transporting guinea pigs to and from shows, vet appointments, or other events, and they provide a secure and convenient way to transport the animals while keeping them at a comfortable temperature and protected from stress.

Metabolic cages are specialized housing units for small animals, such as rodents, that are used in scientific research. They are designed to allow researchers to closely monitor and measure the metabolic rate, food and water intake, and other physiological parameters of the animals. The cages are often used to study the effects of various factors, such as diet, drugs, and environmental conditions, on the metabolism and behavior of the animals. By providing a controlled environment and precise measurement tools, metabolic cages enable researchers to conduct highly controlled and accurate experiments.
Our mobile, stainless steel rack can accommodate up to four, eight, or ten metabolic cages per rack.
The two-tier construction ergonomically positions metabolic cages at convenient height levels for easy observations and routine maintenance
ConductScience offers Metabolic Cages for rodents.
